One guy's experience here, but our family noticed we basically stopped watching live TV. Exceptions are live sports and local news. My wife got her TV fix via Discovery+. My kids watch Disney+ & KZbin. We cut YTTV about two years ago, not because it's a bad service, we just weren't watching it. Switched to Philo, which we cancelled this summer. Again, great service, just not watching it. What's interesting is how this is going to effect the content companies bottom line. Streaming is a money loser. Traditional live TV channels are in decline, but still make a crap ton of $$$. What will the future hold....

I have YTTV for almost a Decade , since was $35 a month & f*n loovin it ..never cancel or change to other , Jammed up with cable channels, Sports & complete locals with Unlimited DVR & full of demand movies & shows & didn't price increase lately like others did included this HULU , none of them can beat in quality, feathers & channels ...BEST of the BEST , Piss on the rest👍

Hulu has zero 4k sports channels. Not even ESPN which IS OWNED BY DISNEY. If you love live sports KZbin TV is the only choice.

@@Drift_Flow their are ads on certain shows, usually popular ones, when you watch the next day. You cannot fast forward through those imbedded ads.. Never happens on sports content. You can only avoid the ads by watching the same day it aired for those programs that do contain ads.

I just cut the cable cord a couple weeks ago. Still researching streaming options. But for sports, my hack is to watch the highlights that someone eventually puts up on KZbin. For instance, for Premier or other league soccer games, I just watch a 10 to 15 minute reel that pops up on KZbin soon after a game is over, then I forward and rewind to places where a team scores. Huge time saver. This can be done with other sports I notice.

We left Dish after 20 yrs . We figured we had all these 4k streaming sets and Dish got where they wouldn't work with us yearly over keeping our rate so we would progress to streaming. We went to Hulu. At first we liked it. We had no need for the built in Disney + or ESPEN channels but my husband loved it as he was discovering shows thru their homepage (old shows) that he had not watched all of. He could just turn one on and binge watch all night. THEN it got where even though we were paying to have ads removed we began to get ads. (And don't think you are going to go back and watch those last 10 mins you fell asleep on... if there is an ad you get to watch it all over again.) I tried binge watching a season of DATELINE from 4 yrs ago and was hit every 15 mins with the SAME Carmax commercial. (I now hate Carmax would never ever buy a car from there.) Not only that... only one of our tv's (the most expensive one in the Living Room) would run the app decently. The other tvs ($500 ones would crash and burn just about every time a Carmax commercial would come on... and we had to reboot the tv to get the app to work again... and you guessed it, had to watch that Carmax commercial AGAIN. No other issues with OTHER apps on those tv's.) Needless to say, I was DONE with Hulu. THEY RAISED THEIR PRICE for the THIRD TIME THIS YEAR to $82.99. Dish got me back for a $85 (taxes and all) 120 channels with locals and DVR...locked in for 3 yrs plus they have updated their software to not hide all the OnDemand content , more like Hulu. And the BEST part is... I don't ever have to watch an ad again. THANK GOD. FU Carmax. They also gave me a lofty $500 Mastercard gift card for coming back. I am here to tell everyone to look in to Dish. Hulu Live was not great for my family and their prices are just going to keep going up. The Dish salesperson told me they're #1 priority is to keep customers and keep their prices down. (At least now they will lock down your price for 3 yrs.) Plus, they will be fighting forever to keep their Hopper service so you don't have to watch 40 Carmax commercials on any given Sunday.

I have tried Hulu and for 3 weeks of the month I paid for it, it didn’t record over half the shows I had set to record. SO FRUSTRATING! Especially when your paying $76/mo!! Hulu is just too glitchy and their customer service sucks. I called two weeks in a row and all they kept saying was “We are aware of the problem and we are trying to fix it” but it was never fixed in the 4 weeks I tried it so I will never go back to Hulu

I've got Hulu + Live TV. What they don't tell you on this review is that Hulu's customer service is horrible, at least online. They basically read and respond from a script. I've had the same group of shows that will not delete off my DVR/My Stuff for over a month, and Hulu gives the same response today as it did a month ago. "This is a known issue and we're working on it". Yet nothing ever changes, except the fact that they jack their prices up each and every December. As of December, I'll be paying roughly 150% of what I was paying 2 years ago.

I've got Hulu + live and really like it. I like that they've incorporated the ESPN+ into the live channels, so i can watch hockey without having to switch apps. Also, who knew Kabaddi was so awesome? Didn't really need the unlimited DVR but I guess a lot of people wanted it, so there's that. My biggest complaints about youtube tv were the lack of Smithsonian channel and that most of what I wanted to on demand required an add-on package. I could almost forgive the confusion/frustration of trying to figure out chronological order of episodes, since they had no episode number with them. The UI wasn't great but i've encountered far worse.

Reason I picked up Hulu was YTT had the NBC dispute. Lately, Hulu is bouncing me out and I have to log back on. Reinstalled, cleared the cache and so forth. Going back to KZbin TV once the Hulu subscription runs out on Thursday. Really don't watch Disney+ or need ESPN+. I get AMC back and I like the live guide much better than Hulu's. YTT uses the colors you see on the tab/home screen. It's cheaper and the 6 screens to watch on one account will come in handy when my Father-in-law comes to stay for a while.

I have been hearing that Hulu is having lots of technical problems right now however they still have the best UI over KZbin TV. Right now I have KZbin TV and I'm thinking about going back to Hulu plus live TV because of two reasons. 1. KZbin TV has the most terrible Picture quality I ever have seen. 2. KZbin TV also has a bad UI.

We had the Hulu + Live TV for about 2 years and cancelled the Live part last month because we never watched anything live especially the news! We kept the no ad Hulu version and seem to have even less ads if that’s possible. As a matter of fact, I have not seen any ads with what we’re currently watching. It’s saving us about $65 a month. We cancelled Netflix for HBO Max for a while since we’ve outwatched all the things we wanted to.

You sign in with your Hulu account info. Just download those apps the same way you downloaded Hulu. I know this was 3mo ago but hope it helps.

Hulu live tv would have ads. If you are watching the actual live tv. A tv show on for one hour is gonna have the same amount of ads no matter what streaming platform it’s on.

I really wanted to use live Hulu bundle. But when I would scroll through the channels it kept skipping channels. It was so frustrating trying to click on the channel I wanted. A friend of mine has the same problem. I finally dropped Hulu and went back to YTTV.

The biggest problem with Hulu Plus Live TV is their lack of Movie packages. Hulu doesn't have like screambox, Screenflix, The biggest Advantage to me is probably their UI compared to KZbin TV. The other major problem is their service does crash a lot and you need to clear the cache out and even that doesn't always work To me Hulu Plus Live TV would be a great service If only they would fix those crashes they constantly get. The biggest problem with KZbin TV is still their terrible UI It still can't compete to hulu's UI. KZbin Tv for some reason refuses to address their UI.

Hulu is worse than anything I have seen. Watching sports i let the game start then start watching about 45 minutes later so i can miss commercials. Hulu doesn't let me do this on ESPN, etc. It does work on network tv but not on cable sports channels.

Yes it does. You can set Favorites, when you look at the guide, you can choose that option and it will only show you those channels. The default seems to be Recents.

They don’t make in intuitive but if you go into the Hubs section and then select the channel you want in/out of your Favorites Guide. Once the channel is up in the top left corner you can add it to My Stuff. Any channel in My Stuff shows up in your favorites, all other that aren’t won’t.

@@crawfcorp unfortunately it looks like it’s ordered alphabetically with no other options. Sometimes the recent section is useful if you watch the same channels a lot but there isn’t any custom ordering for some reason

KZbin tv is easily the best love tv streaming service. I mean seriously. 6 family members can share an account, 3 can steam at the same time, 85 plus channels, only 1 plan, unlimited streams for 9’months. 65 bucks a month not 70 and they have all the add one. And quality and user interface is the best of the bunch. Also ease of use is top not the guide is self explanatory. I’ve tried them all before I switched. And KZbin tv crushed them all and it’s not Even close.

Back in 2017 I got the 7 day free trial of Hulu TV. On the third day that I was subscribed, everything that I tried to watch was suddenly “not available” in my area, so I unsubscribed since I was no longer able to watch anything that I subscribed for. That was one of the most bizarre experiences I have ever had with a streaming service.

I used KZbin TV first, then to get History went to Hulu+ Live TV, and when I saw their prices were going up went to DirecTV Stream because they had channels from both services. ...and I HATE DirecTV Stream. They get pixelization in their recordings like they're coming off a satellite dish on a cloudy day, their recordings start and stop at wildly inaccurate times, they actually recorded an episode of Looney Tunes as five, six minute cartoons, it's a major operation to go almost anywhere in DirecTV Stream with multiple steps to accomplish anything, their search wouldn't pull up my local PBS affiliate that I could find in my guide, the list goes on and on with frustrations. My wife absolutely hates it. We liked all the content on Hulu but didn't really care for the live guide. I suspect we're going back to KZbin TV that really was a very good experience but I'll have to do something when a show I watch on History comes back. (Frndly TV, maybe?) It's good to have choices, but it's hard to get everything I want in live TV without overlapping services. KZbin TV doesn't have A&E, Boomerang, CNN International, FYI, Lifetime, Lifetime Movies, History, or Vice, among others. Hulu doesn't have more than 30 channels KZbin TV has, including PBS, AMC, BBC America, Comet, Game Show Network, Hallmark, IFC, The Weather Channel, and WeTV. It will be interesting to see where live / streaming TV services are in a year or two. If DirecTV Stream could get their act together, their channel availability could damage or destroy other services. As long as their system remains so clunky, they won't be able to seriously compete.
