Nice. Don't let your old lady catch you wearing those shoes on in the house. I've always liked the Husky black, it just looks good.

I agree with asm154 the Husky "Heavy Duty" mobile workbenches are great. I've got the 52" version of this box and I would highly recommend it. At $600 bucks its hard to beat for its value and quality. I'm looking to add the 62" because of the numerous thinner drawers. All my sockets go in the 5.25" high full length top drawer of the 52".

Ordered one won't be delivered till August unfortunately. Can't wait to get it though. Doing a custom half hutch with wall control metal peg boards and shelves on top with a nice light under it. I'll post video up when its done

jjsrt8 Nice! One other nice feature is that it has provisions for a third pair of wheels in the center of the box. The middle cross member is drilled and tapped just just like at the ends. I bought 3 pair of the 8” heavy duty casters from Amazon and bolted them on with no modifications to the box it’s self. They are the black ones with red steel wheels, 1 pair fixed and the other 2 pair swivel. I chose to go the extra mile and change the axle bolts and install some lock washers, one each side of the wheel to hold the inner race and keep it from rotating on the shaft. It’s not as good as having a sleeve between the to bearings. But it did eliminate the spacer thing that they came with originally. Not a big deal, but it took up some of the extra slack and made it a bit easier to move around. Sounds like some innovative modifications that you have planned! I’ll be looking forward to seeing it when you get done. I may can incorporate some of them into my work space cause I always enjoy fresh ideas from different perspective on was to solve problems and/or improve on functionality!

Great review.

The top drawer not being able to fit a 1/2" socket standing is a major oversight IMO. Otherwise it looks like a solid box.

Check out the 52" version, it has a 5.25" tall top drawer. I keep all my sockets standing in there without any issue. I would highly recommend the box to anyone. www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-Heavy-Duty-52-in-W-9-Drawer-Deep-Tool-Chest-Mobile-Workbench-in-Matte-Black-with-Adjustable-Height-Hardwood-Top-HOLC5209BB1M/305410517?MERCH=REC-_-cartempty_rr-_-NA-_-305410517-_-N

That’s a sweet box lol. Husky quality has really stepped up their game... 👍👍👍. Do you know if you can swap the bottom drawer to the top by chance for deep socket use?
@christopherong9875 Жыл бұрын
You think the tall bottom drawer can be switched to be at the top?
@asmautollc Жыл бұрын
Not without modifying the tracks on the interior. It’s not really set up to be modular.

Great video. So I have a question. When the top is all the way up, how much does it wobble front to back? They don't have a display model at any of the stores in Phoenix so I can't put my hands on one. Thanks.

No Name neither of mine wobble at all. They’re solid. Hope you gave the same exp if you go that route.

Would the 1/2 socket go in there by itself with no holder?
@asmautollc5 жыл бұрын
No, not upright. A deep socket would not. A mid length maybe.

@@asmautollc thanks for the quick reply, won't be buying the box now.
