Excellent review. Was able to look one over yesterday at a HD - very nice item. You hit all the highlights I would have mentioned plus some. I agree with your comment about wishing Milwaukee would make the peg board an option. I don't need it, and don't like paying for things that I'm not going to use. Regardless, it's still a very nice unit. I like the working height (37"-38"). The caster's seem very durable, and you make a great point about not having grease zerks on the wheels. Hadn't thought of that. The exterior walls are double sided, as are the two lower interior partition walls between the drawers and bulk storage area. The upper partition between the two top drawers does not appear to be double sided however. Really like the soft close/self close action on the drawers. Great job with this review.

Please do another video showing how to mount a mechanic’s bench vise to this Milwaukee work bench. Particularly since the wood top does not overhang the base, meaning the base metal frame and locking mechanism might compromise the optimum vise mounting location. Are you able to mount a vise close enough to the edge using bolts/nuts/washers?

This is one of the best, most useful reviews on KZbin I've ever seen. I watched this video in the store, then bought one of the last two units my local HD had. The store didn't have a display model. I bought this unit based almost solely on the Milwaukee name and this review. Thanks for the quality of the review. I appreciate the production value as well. Nice steady camera work and even audio levels makes this something most reviewers could learn from. Only slight snarky remarks I have (it is the Internet after all...) is the intro is bothersome, and just because the pegboard is metal - does not mean it's magnetic. Still, I recognize the need for your own branding and it was nice to learn the board is in fact magnetic. Hands down this is the best wheeling-drawer-metal-bench top device I've seen. 5 star product, 5 star review. I hope Milwaukee gave this to you at a deep deep discount. The HD hardware guy recommended this review while I was in the store. Even sold my wife on it. 👌🏼

I like the layout of this workstation, unfortunately I purchased the 46" Milwaukee roll chest and opened the box to find all the slides shattered and a bunch of rivet ends left in the frame from manufacturing, that led me to return it to Home Depot and purchase the 52" Husky Chest instead. But for the price of this box it is not bad, and purchasing from Home Depot is always nice because they have great customer service and easy returning processes. I might look into this in the future if I need more room.

I love Milwaukee tools. Your reviews are the most comprehensive I have seen so far. Thank you.. Here come the "but" I have tried metal peg board and , in my experience , they do NOT work well with standard peg board brackets,. Because metal is much thinner then standard peg board . This causes the bracket to hang at a downward angle. You can bend the bracket to make it work or use brackets designed for metal peg board. If I am missing something please educate me. I am always willing to learn.

do you think it could be vesiable to mount a vise to the wooden top?
@RealToolReviews8 жыл бұрын
Yes. You would need to drill the mounting holes through the top & also the metal underneath, remove the top drawer and run bolts down through the vise base, wooden top, and sheet metal ....then use a washer, lockwasher, and nut underneath.....just be sure it's not too long, so the drawer won't hit it.

+Romeo Acoba Yes, but the 46" is not as deep.....so you wouldnt have the drawers even with the front of the bottom.
@k9rescuer7 жыл бұрын
You say the drawers with one slide on each side are rated at 100Lbs, and the drawers with two slides on each side are rated at 200lbs. My understandings well as other videos, is each slide gives a rate of 100lbs so the rating capacity would be 200 & 400 per drawer. Am I wrong?
@RealToolReviews7 жыл бұрын
The weight rating is per pair....not per slide.

Do you think the 60 inch would hold up a full 46 inch top? I ran out of space with my 46 inch combo. I rather be SMART; try that first than load up Snap-On credit for a box. Yes; I use it in a professional shop. So far , its been very good!
@RealToolReviews8 жыл бұрын
You would be better off buying a 2nd 60" & mounting it on top......the 46" isn't as deep (I think). Also, the 60" has much better drawer configurations/depths than the 46" top.

As someone who has owned this box for about a year and a half, I 100% agree. I disagree on having tons of storage space, although I don't really utilize the pegboard for anything other than a magnetic dish holder and a coathanger for when I get to work

+TheBmpenn3 Take the box off, rotate it 90 degrees on the pallet (balanced in the center with both ends hanging over), install the outside 4 wheels, roll it off the pallet, push two of the wheels onto a thin board to raise one side & install the center two wheels. It took me about 30 minutes by myself & using hand tools. The other thing you need to install are the shelf, handle, and tool holder on the side --- and lock in the pegboard where you want it.
@Syphious645 жыл бұрын
Does anyone know the difference between this Milwaukee and the Husky equivalent? They seem almost identical from the overall design, pegboard, power strip, drawer setup, even the way the drawers close.. Other than a few features like the adjustable pegboard and extra mounting points on the side of this Milwaukee, Has anyone owned or been able to see and compare both? This style toolbox would be perfect for my job and picking out a toolbox isn't easy especially when the pricing on the Husky and Milwaukee are pretty damn close too..

The Husky is better for the same price.....deeper by 2" & has a couple of extra features from what I remember. I believe it has an upgraded power strip, as well as a metal shelf that attaches to the pegboard.
