NEW Hymer ML-T 570 CrossOver 2025
New for 2025, the ML-T CrossOver has had a refresh and the new graphics look stunning. The ML-T is based on the Mercedes, with its 2 litre diesel engine and 190hp. This is an AWD model with automatic transmission. The ML-T offers 3 berth and 4 travel seats. It is 6.89 metres long and 2.2 metres wide. Weighing in at 4100kg GVW, you will need your C1 category to drive it. The ML-T has a diesel heater, 154 litre compressor fridge and 2x95w solar panels. Another great review. There is an option to have a Thetford oven above the fridge for £590 but lots of folks are now taking air fryers in their vans(or if it’s a German van Herr Fryer🤣). As well as the 8 litre bin you showed there is another bin that attaches to the inside of the habitation door. The 3rd berth is actually made up from the front dinette using the cushions which were in the garage. A lot of people are commenting about the price but bear in mind this unit had about £7000 pounds worth of lithium batteries, solar and an inverter.

I must admit it is very pretty and most blokes would love all the toys and the ride height, but a reality check is in order in my opinion. The majority of people who will buy this will never use it as the designers expect it to be used and also many places that it will go in Europe and beyond will have a high expectation of it being nicked. I am assuming that vat is payable on the £164,000 and for that I would rather buy an old long wheel base 4x4 high top and tidy it and put a basic camping setup in it. £35k would get me a reasonable donor and a few bits to make camping off road expectable, but then again I am in it for the adventure not the bragging rights on the camp ground. Each to their own I suppose.

We bought the Adria Compact DL in 2022, largely off the back of the great reviews you gave it (and we are super happy with it!). I like the idea of a Hymer or Carthago at some point, but think the pricing is starting to get a bit insulting to potential buyers. £160K and no oven - this van is twice the price of our van but it's really not twice as good, so I'm not convinced I'm afraid

Hi guys thanks for that. It’s a sudo off roader and I would agree closest thing to off roading will be parking up on the grass at a CL site. Would you want to risk denting those unprotected panels going on a weee adventure after spending all that cash.

I like the way you always have a good look around the ins n outs of these vehicles plus the extra info. As it happens, I was going to order one of these earlier this year and decided not to when they introduced the new interior design. Hymer's previous design had a significantly higher quality look and feel to it. For me (and I know design is a personal subjective thing) I couldn't get past the cabinets being a spray-dyed MDF board rather than having any finish, laminate or vinyl veneered surface. Just looked un-finished and cheap. Neither did I like the strap-catches on the doors and drawers. In addition the transition between cab and cabinet had now lost the transition panels and instead were simply lined with stretch carpet. All signs that they are reducing costs but at the same time continuing to raise prices. Even more annoyingly, the dealer told me that the right hand drive version does not allow LED headlights in this van for some reason Hymer couldn't (or wouldn't) explain, while the left hand drive version does allow it. On a vehicle that is so eye-wateringly expensive, I couldn't live with not having LED headlights. All-in-all, Hymer's insistence of changing the design look and feel rather than having the option of a more stylish interior is clearly to try and create a new market for younger buyers while, perhaps unintentionally, narrowing their market opportunity substantially into a segment that typically has less disposable income. I'm not sure who makes such strategic decisions. With such a high price tag, it's important that premium products allow the customer more choice and at the very least offer a UK market the same features (e.g. LED headlights) as their mainland Europe market. I realise that this new design is aimed at a niche within a niche audience but equally, I'm very doubtful that they will find the same affluence and affordability within that niche that can sustain such a, frankly over-priced, van. Sorry for the rant but I just had to share those extra points.

I spend too much time assessing designs, especially when it comes to visceral aesthetic and behavioural and functional value. There is so much opportunity in this market being missed in this regard.

Good evening Karina and Jules. This is definitely a cross country design of van , a gritty hardnosed design . on the outside and I think I love that . Its quite striking ! £5k alloys ! OMG ! Those lights you "pulled out" strange arent they ? The leather tabs of the wall units are a nice styling touch , masculine I would say . the tv situation , i rather enjoy , although Im curious as to whether that button you pushed on the grey panel could also be a cupboard ? The tap position is rather strange and unique but I quite like that it doesnt take up too much space and is easily cleaned . Love the larger drawers and that small bin . One thing I dont understand though , the 2 plug sockets high up above the tap? Theyre a bit high . I like the shower unit and yes that would be a compromise as Im similar in size and height to your husband,..

164K You've to pay extra for off-road wheels and tyres, air-conditioning and a TV! The cab area should be filled with plush material and not plastic. The raitainig buggies are a complete joke as well as half a privasy curtain. Anyone purchasing one of these obviously has more money than sense! For that price you should have a red button to press and it turns into a suite at the Hilton! It's comical

This model was on my shortlist a couple of years ago. I rejected it after using the configuration tool and realising just how little payload you have. If you start maxing out the options the tool starts taking out belted seats and you are left with only 2 seats and still little payload. Not sure whether you can up-plate it further to gain extra payload for passengers, water and food.

What‘s the point of all this pseudo-offroad stuff? How many people are ever going to need 4WD, offroad tyres, raised suspension in Europe ? Try driving this vehicle offroad where you’d need 4WD and you’d shake it apart. If you really need that then get a proper 4WD SUV with a tent. I drove overland from London to Nairobi in 1974 and the amount of times you really needed 4WD you could count on one hand, in fact one of the most reliable vehicles of that time for that journey was the common VW van with 2WD and that was crossing the Sahara and the central African rainforest roads too.
