Hey Gagan. Amazing explanation. If we were to think overall, considering everything, what would you prefer : Honda City ZX CVT or Verna(NA) Top end CVT or Verna(Turbo) top end DCT? I am a sedan guy.

VW, Skoda fans will ignore everything you say about plastic and bonnet quality here 😂 funny thing is, Tata and Mahindra guys would think the same way too.....even if their sunroof leaks. Btw I still have a 2009 i10 (apart from 2 other cars), and it still works like a bulletproof car 😃

Hello gagan. I've tried commenting on a couple of videos about my question but didn't get any answer. Why does 1.5 Turbo Manual avatar of the new verna have drive modes? I would like to know why they introduced drive modes for a manual transmission?

it changes the engine maps.. so it doesn’t matter if its a manual or auto.. so basically it changes the way engine delivers power - for example it produces less power/torque in eco mode than in sports.. no relation to the gearbox there

@@cannotthinkofoneatth they work irrespective of the gearbox? granted the power delivery is different in modes but why need for modes when you have complete control over throttle and gear shifts?

@@Alex-ud4tl maps allow you to choose between economy, power and mix.. in eco mode, the maps would cause the power delivery to be curtailed and in sport it unleashes all the power that the engine can generate acceptable to the manufacturer.. of course you can add custom maps and increase BHP/torque power curves with aftermarket custom maps aur ECU piggybacks
