Now while I’m not a great fan of the method feeders, for various reasons, I really like the look of this pellet feeder so as soon as my local tackle shop has them in stock I will buy some and give them a test on the deeper waters that I fish. With a sticky pellet inside to keep them there until it hits the bottom this could be what I’m looking for. I hope that they will work!

Easy Fishing so you don't like method feeders, so please explain why you are going to buy this one. Deep water, cage feeder with a swivel clip, change to another feeder or lead very quick, a must to have in your armoury! Believe me I fish in 7 meters plus in big reservoirs not commercials, and they hold onto the ground bait ,pellet or whatever you want to put into them.

anne sparks Hi it’s Preston method feeders they led the market but have never made them the correct shape ie guru and Drennan , with the weight forward. I have used them and they work I just wish after all this time they had perfected the design! Right the cage feeder question. The pellet feeder presents the bait right in the feed with a short hooklength. They can carry pellets without worrying about whether they stick and only release on the bottom. Cage feeders will always release some bait on the drop as the design allows water to hit the bait, the deeper the water the more bait releases. Now this may be a good thing but I want a very tight area of bait with my hookbait on the bottom. I don’t know whether this design will work but the only way to improve is to keep trying ideas out and if it doesn’t work I will have only spent£5. I know you can tape up cage feeders, Matrix sell a sleeve, or use a wetter mix or put leam in the feeder. The reason I said sticky pellets is I want to be certain the feeder touches down full and then the binder, I use PV1, releases the pellets and the hook bait. Over the years I have found cage feeders great in shallow waters as they release feed quickly, about 10 ft is my max for an open cage feeder. But I always keep an open mind and try all sorts of ideas. After who would have thought the old frame feeders we used for long range breaming would evolve into method feeders. Tight Lines

Easy Fishing think they should sponsor your channel. They never reply but you are trying to sell their ics system for them, good job.

Easy Fishing oh forgot to mention you didn't sell it to me.

anne sparks hi well sarcasm is not good as I’m not trying to sell the ics system. I have slated their ics method feeders on KZbin before . I only stated that I would be trying their pellet feeder the same as i would any other item of tackle by any other manufacture! As for the comment about sponsorship, I have stated that I would not want to be sponsored as they would expect me to plug their products even if they were no good!

I was wondering, since I have this feeder attached to my Avon rod which I not only use for carp, but also mullet, do you think it would be feasible to pack the feeder with mashed bread when fishing for mullet? Or maybe minced up mackerel flesh.

What is the largest sized pellet you would recommend using the feeder?

It's not a pellet feeder, you can put groundbait in the as well so it's just a posh cage feeder just look at the two of them together. Cage feeders are just as good, pellet groundbait meat anything you can get to stick.
