Definitely the General Store window. I love love love the chippy windows. I het these windows for $2 or $3 each. Have several waiting to be done. I really enjoy your channel. Just subscribed, now I am binge watching I have found several channels but you do the upcycling which is what I enjoy. I love adding florals and staging. I have enjoyed your talent and you are so relatable. I watch Julie design and signs also. You both have talents I would love to have. Like you say, "practice makes perfect!". The General Store!!! My kitchen is done in the manner. My pantry door is a reproduction (done by me) of an old general store window with dry goods, flour, spices advertisements stenciled onto the window. I want to make some towels with the grain stripe and the general store logo on them.

When I do mirrors, I do 2 coats of Looking Glass and then 2 coat of matt black. Looking Glass is so expensive and you can get mat black real cheap. (Maybe sometimes 3 coats of lookingglass) The black adds depth and make it opaque . Just trying to save you money!

I love both of these windows. Have a question though.....do you seal the transfers with anything at all on the glass? What about the chippy frames, do you use a clear sealer to protect the that beautiful natural chippiness?
@UpcycledbyBri2 жыл бұрын
Peel Stop is a great matte clear product to protect the chippy! You can use an artist brush and clear coat to seal the transfers but I just recommend a spot clean and I’ve never had an issue :)
@jaynebrown6933 жыл бұрын
LOVE THEM !!! With that Mirror Spray, could a person spray just 2 coats and then use a dark paint next to make it look AGED 😁? After the 2 coats I was drooling at that look !!! I have that Transfer and used all my Sunflowers up and most the Lavender. I am trying to figure out what to do with all my Roses 🤷♀️. Excellent tip on putting the fabric on FIRST...then stenciling. So hard to pick favorites !!! But loving the Mirror Spray ❤️❤️ Hugs sweet lady ❤️❤️

I mean no offense; but, you need to research much better hanging hardware. I'm an old crone; but, I've been a mosaic artist for more years than I want to admit, and have a little experience with hanging heavy pieces. I would recommend checking out D-rings for light to medium-weight pieces; and french cleats for extremely heavy pieces. I would feel terrible if I sold a customer a piece, only to have the hardware fail. I also always ensure that I relate the weight and hanging instructions to my customers as well. I've used vintage windows for a number of my pieces, and the results are always timeless.
