Gayle's BeautyCorner it’s called dermatillomania, it’s a body focused repetitive disorder and is classed as a form of OCD. Researchers aren’t clear on what triggers it but there are help groups out there. I’ve found (this is only personally as I know everyone is different) that getting acrylics stops me from picking as my nails aren’t then sharp enough for me to get a good enough grip x

Are you thinking of dermatophagia? :) I have it too and it's awful isn't it? I've bought a 'nail polish' which you put on your skin and it tastes awful which helped for a bit, but then I forgot to put it on everyday :(
