NEW Insta360 camera on June 27 - the biggest hint!

It looks like a Go 3 with a preview screen on the charging case. Hopefully it is wirelessly connected to the Go 3 to provide a live preview when setting up and recording shots, that would be amazing! Only question then is what happens when the camera goes out of range? Especially for something like FPV drones. I assume / hope the camera keeps recording and only the preview screen cuts out in that instance. Either way I'm super excited, I've been waiting for something to replace my lost Go 2 for nearly a year now!

@@iamleek I can see an advantage in being able to quickly and immediately set up and frame shots without having to wait for it to pair to your phone. Helpful if you don't have your phone handy or don't want to waste its battery, or if you're using your phone as another camera on a shoot, etc. Just a nice quality of life upgrade in general. I'm hoping it doesn't come with too big of a cost increase though!

Leaks are out! Its a camera with charge case that features a flippable screen and the hint was the camera looking back into its own screen giving that visual echo effect. A tech reviewer accidentally left the camera in a clip they was recording 😅

I think I know what it is, the key feature it’s small cameras connected together and can add on cameras to get different pov and the apps allow editing to give you those nice transitions, capturing every angle and also aligned with editing 🎉 , which will make our life easier!

What I found interesting were 2 things. 1: The edges of the images. They all appeared to have chromatic aberration on the edges. That would be something I would associate with 360 images due to the extreme curvature of the lenses or a very wide angle. 2: The last image as you pointed out. It seems to show that the new camera has a docking station with an LCD display on it. So could be a docking case for the new Go camera that also lets you preview and review footage thanks to an lcd display. It also looks like it is sitting on a monitor at one point, so possible webcam use too?

There is a shot where the camera appears to go through a hole in a game like Connect 4. The camera seems to go right through the centre of the hole, which doesn't look very big. I don't know if the Go2 vertical form factor would fit through that hole with the lens in the centre. Perhaps the lens on this new camera is oriented differently to fit even narrower spaces? Maybe it pivots to allow different angles?

Finally! I sold my Go2 at the end of last summer. Liked the convenience of the size and video quality but the overheating issue and need for cellphone to preview/review the shot is very annoying. I'm so happy that a Go 3 is coming and hope it will fixed those 2 main issues: from the video it will fixed the need for a cellphone but for the overheating, only time will tell. Thanks for the clue Mike, always a joy to watch your videos.

I think I finally figured out the missing piece that confirms my theories. The teaser image shows the Go 3 pointed at the charging case with the screen, and it is wirelessly sending the image back to the screen, which is why we see the infinite shrinking image of the screen. It's a feedback loop! It's been right there in front of us this whole time! Love it!

Hi I´m all excited to see this new camera, but I think they modified the Insta Go2 and gave it something new like a more horizontal aspect ratio, and at the end of the teaser you see the shape of the Insta Go2 overlapped with this new camera, definitely is going to be a POV camera, the big question is, are they going like DJI?

First the case has a color preview screen, second the case is slightly bigger accomodating better heat and battery management. Third and most important, with two go3's magnetic connected back to back you can create 360's in post , fourth waterproofing is improved. Looks like next generation GO 3 behind the thumb with a “tiny” hint of a next generation RS core module to allow for RS interface of modular body. Remote camera capability for video while using RS in action mode? Was hoping ability for using dual GO 3 type units in a 360 mode might be included. Excited either way. Multi configuration of RS core module that will now include GO 3 camera unit to tether. If you look at the sneak peek video that can be sent to you, you will see it in the onscreen display, upper right icons.

Based on the thumbnail photo, it appears that there is a lens or a button on the left side of the "case" that is shown in the photo. Then you see a thumb that hides the camera, which could be a Go3. The "case" is also depicted in various sizes, suggesting that the unit might be modular. However, it could be wishful thinking, as it may simply be the design of the photo.🤔

I will miss the key AMAZING feature of fitting in my coin pocket. I LOVE that feature most. BUT , because of the INSANE fact that NO USB cables work with Go2 for xfer snd I lost original cable, I will probably buy. But I will hope they support ALL usb cables and I will GE VERY bummed it doesn’t fit in coin pocket of my jeans. @@360vroomers Thanks... very weird... I lost mine a year ago and tried a dozen cables even 2 THUNDERBOLT 4 cables. The one cable that worked was the Rode Wireless Go 2 cable... then it stopped. And some cables charge but don't data xfer on my 2019 MacPro cheese grater and 2021 M1Max MacBook. I almost surely will buy new model. But I hope I don't get anther with lemon connector. @@360vroomers Well, my thought was driven by the video where a thumb is kind of covering up something that seems to be roughly thumb sized and shaped and the POV felt like it could be a tiny GO sized unit. I'll tell you a great channel where the guy only uses a GO 2 and does excellent things with it is the channel JD'Followcam'. Using a kitesurfer, he follows and records wing foilers. He does an amazing job and I am always blown away that he only uses the GO 2 on a stick. Great guy, great channel.

Sorry to hear that! Traditional action cameras and DSLRs have way better image quality and sometimes I use them, as in this talking head video. For me, 360 cameras are a different kind of creative tool because they can capture unique perspectives like a 3rd person view which are impossible on any other kind of camera.

No need to try and find a solution from you personally, just venting the frustration that MANY of us feel in this space.
