The hot link is dumping too much hot water into my cold water lines.

Good Day Dan, We are sorry this is happening, can you tell us how old the system is and what else is in your system? When I hear of situations like this, there are two things that cause this; 1. excessive circulator run times and 2. The Hot-link valve mechanism is dirty and may be stuck in the open position. The corrections for above is to regulate and control the circulator run times and the second is to take the Hot-Link valve apart, inspect the cartridge and either clean or replace.

The system is a few years old. I can’t find a part number for the cartridge or a manual to tell me what the lights on the pump mean.

@@TacoHVACtv it’s just a hot water line with 006e3 with two HLV1’s and the smart plug
