For looks I like this one. For HD graphics and bug free environment, I like the Topfit one. Honestly, I wish all of these companies would get together and make one awesome display haha :)

Ive never been a fan of the central only display thats been on these cars..Im amazed it hasnt caused accidents by requiring driver gaze to have to be drawn away from the area In Front of the driver , which Should have had a basic instrument cluster like this..Hopefully tesla gets the message strongly and adds one in production..

The EVSHOP is their official reseller but the actual manufacturer doesn't have a website or contact information. They recently did release a software update that fixed all the sync issues I showed in my video (time, display, hazard sign etc). This cluster looks amazing! The finish and integration look perfect. However, all those bugs are concerning for long term. Tesla releases updates VERY often and who knows how often new bugs will be introduced. Also, IF the company goes out of business then that means the future Tesla updates might break more and more functions over time.

Congratulations for pointing out this is an instrument cluster and not a HUD. My biggest reluctance before getting a Model 3 was the lack of a display in front of me and I still miss it. I drive in dark mode all the time (now that is possible) so this display is a no from me until it mimics the center display. Instead of displaying the tire pressures it would be better to show navigation instructions, or even the media being played. Forget Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. They shouldn’t be part of this display as that is not its purpose. It is just a display, not for interaction. Inclusion of Bluetooth etc is pointless and would add cost for no benefit. Bugs can be squashed and it will always be a challenge to third party suppliers every time Tesla updates its software. Now if the manufacturer could produce a true HUD that displays the Tesla information that this display does, I would buy it tomorrow.

I agree, who needs to see Tire Pressure on their display constantly? even Battery I could lose from this display. This display should have the most immediate things you need, as you said, Turn-by-Turn directions, and I would even like a digital tachometer. I found it's a very easy visual read....you can see out of the corner of your eye where the needle is pointing to get an idea of your speed.

Design is great, but I don't like the screen and the graphics. The battery-icon is way too muct not-Tesla looking. Why didn't you use the same look as the battery in the charge mode of the Tesla display? This looks more like a Korean og Japaneese design. NOT a fan! The brightness of the display is also way off. The white is much more blue'ish than the Tesla display, and in dark mode, it's way more bright. This would be a 100 % show stopper for me. Sorry to say...

How often are people trying to look at the tire pressure? Seems odd to have that be the one bit of info right in front of the driver. This setup is cool but these aren't details I imagine people need to stare at frequently. Even battery percentage I only check at the beginning of a trip to make sure its enough to get around for the day. If you are checking battery mid-drive, you're in trouble lol. Just my thoughts.

The wood doesn't seem to match the 2021 interior that has the metal on the edges. I think that would make it look kind of trashy instead of stock. Also disappointed they chose to put it where it would directly block the airflow, though I don't know where they would have put it otherwise.

I really like the look of this one. However I would need it in RHD. Also they should make it so you can change what info is displayed especially on the sides. Needs a touch screen to make it easier to setup. Price is very expensive for what is is currently and dont like the fact that the dash is split. I know it makes it cheaper for shipping but looks crap with the join piece. I must admit I didnt get the other screens as I was waiting for a review for this one.

Looks very OEM. If the manufacturer made a commitment to continue software upgrades for at least even a year or two, then maybe worth paying the big bucks. Since they can't even commit to fixing current issues, then it's hard to justify the cost. Worse nightmare would be this thing being bricked after a Tesla update.

Hardware: Is pretty good from a third party standard. Software: I can bet the manufacturer doesn't have skilled UI people working on this product or atleast they don't have the expertise needed. UI clearly lacks below stuff that they should have done since they have gone so deep into hardware side of things. UI elements are not coherent with the Tesla theme. Meaning, hero elements of the UI do no follow the same language of the Tesla UI. Some of the stuff that I can point out is 1. Font style, size and boldness and colour is off. 2. Things like but not limited to Supercharger icon is too "tacky" it needs to be subtle and flat like the main UI. 3. Navigation UI i.e. the way things appear and go away when you use the driver display is not concurrent with Tesla UI. There are so many things like space utilisation and colour palette of the UI and things of that nature that makes it feel like it is still a foreign part rather than feeling like integrated part of the car. Hopefully they are growing and making enough money to really make better and better products in the future.

looks great original, but i could never attempt to do this, no way. i am ok, with just one big screen, i love it the way it is, you dont really need thst screen in front. in my opinion. one screen gives you everything you need, its actually better.

Looks good, but there is a limit to how many accessories I get for my car. I can get used to looking slightly to the right. The only thing I want in front of me is the speedometer.

Looks good. The build quality would bug me tho. I don’t like how the white seal around the edge isn’t uniform. You can see the bubbles where the tip stopped.

Heya Shiva I'm looking to buy a tool kit so I can do all my own work on my Model 3. Do you have any suggestions on what I should look for in a kit such as a size range for sockets and spanners and any special tools etc?

Hi my friend, I would recommend the following tools for these mods: 1. Metal and Plastic pry tool kit. Those metal kits are useful when you have to remove plastic clips that get stuck. I have this kit and it has worked well for many projects: amzn.to/3FWxMOu 2. Socket wrench set with minimum of these sizes: 8mm, 10mm and 13mm. Also, I would recommend a wrench extender to apply more torque. 3. Screwdriver set with both small head and big head for various purposes 4. Fishing wire and electrical tape 5. Drill with an adapter for the socket Majority of my mods were done with those tools.

Great video Shiva - I recently installed the Mickey Mouse looking cluster for my MY....Do you think that splitter that came with that would work on this one? I really want to avoid having to unplug that one again under the dash...it was an awful ordeal. If it's the same - I may be more apt to buy this one.

Hi Keith, yes you can daisy chain the new cable into that same harness that you used for the Mickey Mouse display. You don't have to access that difficult plug if you leave the existing harness in place. You will still have to reach under the glovebox but it is not as bad. Thanks.

The look is the best of similar product. And if it had better software and the hardware for dealing with the issues you talked about (Appel CarPlay) this would be something I absolutely would consider buying. I think it looks very good. But the issues you talked about are something that needs to be fixed before I buy it.

Great review. I’ve seen this display for a lot less, but I wonder if it’s a different manufacturer. I’d love to see reviews where you compare, not only this product, but a couple of the displays against their Ali express version.

everything that comes from China made by the same manufacturer and probably in the same conveyer, just different brands, slightly different OS and different looks. But 99% is the same hardware, software. IMO

I just got one of these displays Really great I was told that the hazard flash is due to it being a China market software running on US car The speed limit is related to the mph / Kph calculation It actually is converting it twice.

@The EV Shop the guy in China I have been chatting with has told me ‘give me a few more days, working with developers’. But nothing fixed And I think the speed limit display can be fixed by connecting the unit while the car is in kph instead of mph, but I have been too lazy to crawl back under the passenger side
