Fun fact, but some of these sets were actually used temporarily in Denmark back in 1999 to 2001. DSB needed extra rolling stock and SBB had some excess IC2000 sets so DSB loaned one. Since Danish locomotives weren't compatible with the train systems, it had a sandwich formation with an EA class locomotive at each end. But due to the IC2000 livery being largely identical to the at the time just discontinued livery on the IC3 and IR4 trains, they fit into Danish rail traffic like a glove in appearance. One set even appeared in the background of some outtakes of the movie Blinkende lygter.

Here in Switzerland you'll sometimes see the Locomotive being "sandwiched" inbetween the Coaches. most often in Rushhour, when additional Coaches are hooked up. Almost all of our Standardcompositions are Push-Pull, with slowly giving over to selvdriving Compositions with no need for a Locomotive. It is always Fun to see Tourists from Countries where they always need a Locomotive to be in Front or it won't run, then they see a swiss Train: Doubledeck Steercoach, Doubledeck Coaches, Locomotive, singledeck Waggons, singledeck steercoach at second End.... Looks funny but perfectly works.

@@drdewott9154 Where I live, we've got wayyy too many Tourists from developing Countries like India or really backwards "Nations" like USA and so on, which have never known about a working public Railsystem at all. And I've never seen yet japanese or korean Trains in Pushmode f.ex. (at least not on the Internet) Most Tourists at our big Stations here rush automatically to the Locomotive End of the Train thinking it's forward...

The playground for children in the cab car is a wonderful thing. On long train journeys children of a certain age have a hard time sitting still and they have an urge to move. That could be annoying to other passengers unless you give those kids a place where they can run around, use the slide and have plenty of fun. The only way to make this place even better would be a long slide from the upper to the lower level of the doubledeck car. It's certainly a great family-friendly train that way.

If you ride a original or a refurbished IC2000 Coach is easy to spot from the outside: The refurbished ones don't have the gray Stripe between lower and upper Deck anymore.

Fact : the S-Bahn (Regional trains) was already there in 1999 ( Löwenstrasse ) and in 2014 the Durchmesserlinie was opened. Also to help you out, the Front wagon ( Steuerwagen ) was not modernised yet. its the old playground where i grew up with as a kid. The 1st class coach was not modernised either ( first one ) They are modernising almoast every train, aswell as the ICN wich is going through a modernising similair to the IC2000 aswell. My opinion is thath thr refurbishment of the IC 2000 coaches fails, because the seats are way harder than in the old non refurbished trains. Also, the lights are way to bright, in the non refurbished coaches the light was way more comfoartable.

The IR16 drives at a average Speed of 120km/h what the Ticket Inspector told me. In the Bahn 2000 Line it drives 160km/h what my Phone Speedometer told me

The speed i state is calcuated based on the scheduled journey time and distance, so it includes stops etc :-)
