Nothing new or better than we all already know, and that is: Cheap rust removal method: Vinegar Expensive rust removal method: Evapo-Rust Fast rust removal method: HCL After any of the mentioned methods, wire brushing or sanding is still required. And then, some protection for the metal is needed, such as: paint, wax, varnish, shellac, glue, grease, oil, plating, hot bluing.

That process takes much to long and involves the use of harsh chemicals. There are much easier processes that use natural ingredients that are not harmful to you or the enviroment, so no need for PPE. You can also just use a wire brush chucked into a drill press or secure hand drill. I've been restoring hundreds of antique handtools for years now and if I used your method, I'd still be work on the first one. You also need to disclose your process as you go along. If you do not speak the common language of English, then type out your process and translate it into English. Google has this service free to use. Most countries teach English as a second language so most foreigners use it in there videos if they want to reach a wider audience.

What is the point of the extra steps after the vinegar derusting? You could argue that the sand in the descaler-thingy was too coarse to get in the nooks and crannies of the bolt threads and other tight spaces to make any difference, and after all that work and treating it with the odd slurry they looked no better than if plucked out ot the vinegar. To simplify this i would taken them out og the vinegar, rinsed, let dry and then wirewheel and done. After that I would used electroplating and added a layer of zinc to prevent further oxidation.

Can I use copper acetate instead of copper sulfate?
@JoeA19747 ай бұрын
No. The sulphur in the CuSO⁴ liberates the oxygen from the iron oxide exposed and bonds to form iron sulfide with the free iron particles. Copper acetate is just repeating the vinegar step with the addition of copper. Without clean metal and electrolysis it would be just wasted materials.
