User Name, all that storage is actually useful for some people. If you work with videos, production and editing, with raw files, you'll be working with very. VERY large files. Even if you have 1TB, you'll have to clean it out every once in awhile. Even raw photos take up a lot of space. There is a use for all that space, but for the majority of people, yeah, a smaller model is fine. And for the record, 512 GB can't even hold every single app out there. There's way too many.

Rétards shut up. A10X is basically a tri core version of the A10. It uses the same 16nm process. So with the A11, they will probably use a 10nm process which would mean they can boost the speed by 40% and reduce power consumption by 40%. 40% of 9300... that's about 13,000.

Garipcan Demir Ever heard of frame drops? This is why things like VSync exist. You can tell a slight difference simply because the new iPad offers more frames for the camera to catch. The old iPad might have refreshed out of sync with the camera, causing the camera to catch the same iPad image frame for 2 frames on the iPad. Hope this makes sense lol..

A great way to see the difference between the refresh rate on both ipads is to pause the video on 5:48... you can see that on the new ipad pro there are more "shadows" behind the movement, thus making it look more fluid.

NavyWhite iOS11 is basically that. MacOS is mostly for Mac's obviously. I'm happy they have the iPad and the MacBook option. It's better to get it right rather than to have a mix between the two and get them both wrong. Microsoft surface seems to be a bad tablet and not a fantastic laptop either. I'd rather have an iPad Pro and a super powerful laptop/MacBook. Putting your fingers on a laptop screen ruins the experience for me.

My girlfriend recently graduated and sold her Air and purchased a regular iPad. I've tried it out as well - it doesn't have any ports like a traditional Mac but in terms of basic e-mails, Netflix, KZbin, etc it does the job. That said if I were you and you're still in school, I'd keep the Air until you graduate, just because it's obviously much easier to write papers and what not with a physical keyboard than on a smaller device like an iPad (whether regular iPad or iPad Pro). But after graduation, if you feel like you're not doing that much intensive work on the computer at home, then an iPad should more than suffice, especially with the updates coming in iOS 11. Either that or consider a Surface Tablet because they have traditional USB ports.

Geekbench just tests 64 Bit instructions. The Kabylake CPU in the mac offers many instruction sets more that would boost performance in many situations. That makes a test like this complicated. X86 to ARM on MacOS would be pretty simmilar to the Power PC X86 Switch they already did.

I am currently typing this on an iPad Pro 10.5 and I can honestly tell you that I can't tell that great a difference between this iPad and my old Pro 9.7. Nothing like this dude leads you to believe. The extra screen real estate is nice, and I can tell a tiny bit of difference in app opening speed, but so far that's about it. I never really thought the old iPad Pro scrolled slow so I can't really speak of the 120 Hz ProMotion. Nothing like EverythingApplePro leads you to believe. My guess is there is some kind of kick back he's getting from Apple, but who knows. All I know is that the 10.5 Pro is nice, but I think EverythingApplePro is exaggerating a bit.

There is a bit of a difference, but the iPad Pro 9.7 was and is a fast device. The 10.5 is a bit smoother, but I just think EverythingApplePro has gone way overboard with the differences. If you already have a Pro 9.7 and unless you want the additional screen real estate, save your money and hold onto the 9.7. Now all of this might change when IOS 11 comes out, but with IOS 10.something, the difference is not as grand has he's making it out to be.

I love my 10.5 Pro, and maybe everythingapplepro is just super excited, but it's really not a night and day difference. I have seen the slow motion examples and when you have to run a video in slow motion to really see the difference, you know it's not that huge a deal. The 9.7 Pro is a great and speedy device, but yes, the 10.5 pro is a bit smoother.

I don’t believe you can fairly compare the new 10.5 inch iPad Pro to a 9.7 inch iPad Pro that’s running a beta of iOS 11. Of course the 10.5 iPad Pro will seem smoother running an optimized iOS 10. I know the new 10.5 iPad is smoother but by how much. Compare it to an 9.7 inch iPad Pro running the same version of iOS. Good video though. 👍

I'm confused ( I know I'm late). I have an iPad Pro but mine doesn't have the band at the top and doesn't have the iPhone 7 camera. It might be an older design but it's about as big (if not bigger), than the 10.5 inch iPad Pro. The camera isn't too great on it, but oh well. So if anyone happens to watch this video more than once and knows what I mean, please reply!

Isabell G - You should just get the new 2018 cheap iPad honestly since it now has Apple Pencil support. Its only around $300 so unless you really need the stereo speakers or the 120Hz display on the slightly bigger Pro 10.5, I think you'd be fine with it.

So I am using that as a tablet for my 5 year old son and got this 9th gen version. MUCH faster, a little slimmer, smaller bezels, all around a leap forward. Plus, for the price that’s about $130-$150 cheaper than a current new model this is a nice deal. I look forward to the M-series CPUs coming into iPads which will really help future proof these tablets better but these latest CPUs are pretty strong and should do better to last several years with no compromises.
