Myloprime the 2018 11 inch wifi only hovers around 600 dollar Mark on sites like Amazon, but i’ve seen them go on dale for as low as 549, and considering there aren’t that many features that would make the newest one worth it ( besides the ram upgrade - futureproofing ) this is a pretty good deal for such a Magnificent device

You can actually obtain USB 3 transfer speeds and fast charging using one of Apple's USB-C charge adapters paired with a Lightning cable. With this setup, an iPad Pro can be charged in half the time.

It does have USB C quickcharging, but they stupidly don't include a higher capacity charger for it. The USB C Macbook charger will fast charge it with the adaptor cable. Lightning just carries the USB Protocol, after all, and they now support C fast charging.

Yes? It's officially supported. Their USB C power bricks, with a C to lightning connector, will charge the iPad faster than the default Lightning power brick. The Lightning port in these actually supports the USB C fast charging spec. I think the difference between a physical port and a charging spec is confusing you.

That's not fast charging, thats just a faster than normal charge. Fast charging involves a smart plug which varies the voltage throughout the charge. The main thing with actual quick charging is that itll get you from 0-50% in a tiny fraction of the time that normal charging takes, not half, but like a tenth.

All you got to do is download apps that allow you to create a local phone number(I use the app Fongo) and buy the WiFi+Cellular version to use data to make and receive calls/texts. Also buy a small Bluetooth earpiece since you don't want to look like an idiot making calls on a laptop sized device lol.

In 2020, this is the best value iPad you can buy. It’s the current Air with a better display and speakers, plus, the A10 handles graphics better than the newer chips. No experience from Surface Pro, so a bit biased to iPad Pro. I'd say if you can afford to wait, iOS11 is going to be the most productive iOS on iPad Apple will've ever put out. The Apple Pencil is also really great for drawing and note taking and is optimized with iOS11. So 10.5" Pro running iOS11 with Apple Pencil may prove to be just as productive as the Surface Pro. Also the Surface Pro is a laptop first and a tablet second while the iPad Pro is a tablet first and a laptop replacement second

I don't think this is worth getting if you already have an iPad pro 9.7 (which is around $650 for a 128GB model as of 2017). If you don't on the other hand, this beast of a tablet is TOTALLY worth getting. You're getting all of the spec upgrades and new build features for literally the same price ($650). Also IOS 11 is coming out for it this fall for everyone. This seems like really good deal if you ask me.

Stefan C why would you hope they don't do that? It doesn't hurt you at all to have unused storage. For most of us, storage is a real issue. 64 GB isn't enough for me. 128 is enough for me. I have about 90 GB used on my iPad right now. Why hold others back just because 32 GB is enough for you? That's selfish. I hope they do increase the base storage to 128 GB because it will give most people more breathing room. And for people like you who are fine with 32 GB, guess what, nothing changes for you. You still have enough space.

I’m not sure a bezel-less display is a good idea for a large tablet. Same with Face ID. I use my 12.9” iPad Pro in a lot of different situations. Often as a desktop MIDI controller which is secured on a stand and connected to my Mac Pro via the lightening cable (to transfer real-time midi and audio back and forth). If I have to lift up my iPad with a cable connected to it, just to unlock it, that would seriously suck. There are many situations where having to reach for a tablet and then hold it up to your face, just to set it back down again and re-secure it makes no sense. I’ve seen entire symphony orchestras use iPads secured on music stands for displaying sheet music or scores. The app automatically turns the pages for the user, you know because their hands are busy playing the violin or whatever. Sure, everyone could temporarily turn off the lock screen, but overall it would always be awkward for many users to only have Face ID and no bezels on an iPad Pro. What WOULD be cool if Apple decides to eliminates the home button on the iPad, is to make one bezel a big Touch ID surface. That way when I need to reach to the iPad to unlock it, or whatever, I could touch anywhere on the surface and it will recognize me. The only reason for a better camera would be for Google hangouts or Skype when I’m presenting from my iPad and I’m using the camera. Otherwise I only use this camera for scanning sheet music. I don’t want glass backs either. That would not be good. I already have the 29w charger, but yeah Apple must do that I think because it will seem cheap if they don’t. What I really want to see are two things Apple will never do. Because I mainly use my iPad Pro as a music creation device, either by itself or in conjunction with my Mac Pro, I’d really like to have a USB-C port instead of Lightening. Although the lightening port on the 12.9” is a USB 3.0 port (compared to the USB 2.0 speed on iPhones), it would be great if the only port on the device was the same speed as ports on the Mac Pro. And if Apple gets rid of the headphone jack on the iPad Pro, (which would really piss a lot of musicians off) they better include a second lightening port or a USB-C port. Actually Apple should have both, One Lightening and one USB-C port. That would be very cool! iPhone users don’t have to deal with this, but audio over Bluetooth isn’t professional grade. Currently I can connect a music keyboard, a microphone, an audio interface at the same time and can charge it too. And I can get high def audio out of the headphone or lightening port. I need both. Sorry for the long rant. I went off a bit there.

No it's not fully a placebo effect, you can see some improvement. Think about this, unless the camera and the screen are perfectly in sync there will be some delay before the camera captures what the screen is showing. How much delay? Well at 30fps it could be up to just under one frame time and should average around one half frame time, or 1/30 to 1/60 of a second. Does this change with a screen showing 60fps even if the camera is capturing 30? Yes! Since twice as many images are being shown the delay gets cut in half, so up to 1/60 and averaging 1/120 of a second. While this isn't nearly as big of a difference as it is in person it is noticeable. This is also the main reason competitive pro gamers want frame rates upwards of 400fps even though there is no monitor in the world that has a high enough refresh rate to show all of those frames.

Buhnanafone KZbin I honestly have a hard time believing you engineer displays yet you don't understand this simple concept. This isn't even controversial, it's been well documented for years. If you don't believe me you can actually go test it yourself as long as you have a monitor that does 60hz or greater. Go to a website like testufo (dot) com and have two things going across the screen at 30fps and 60fps, the difference will be obvious to your eye. Now pull out your phone and take a quick video (make sure it's at 30fps or you defeat the purpose), now while the difference isn't as large as it is with your own eye it is definitely there. The 60fps ufo will look both farther forward and a little sharper than than the 30fps one, despite both being played back at 30fps.

Yeah I am aware, I've had a 120hz BenQ xl2420t monitor for years, 120hz allows the screen to display up to 120fps. marques stated that the screen framerate was bumped from 30fps-60fps when its now a 120hz display instead of 60hz, maximum framerate that can be displayed is now at 120 fps.

I love Marques’ videos. I would add that the 12.9 iPad Pro does have quick charging, but not out of the box. The 29w charger with the USB-C to lighting cable give the larger model quick charging. Honestly, Apple should have made it default especially since they wanted to put the Pro label it.

Alienware R4 17" with 4TB of NvME for my heavy work and a Samsung Tab S3 with KR/EN keyboard for light work. For me this is the perfect combo. I think the Tab S3 is an extremely good competitor to the iPad pro series. They are weaker spec wise, but stylus style notes and work on MS office tasks it is more than enough. Not to mention far cheaper. The saving in the tablet sector allowed me to take that money and invest in upgrades on the Alienware.

Nikolas Manuelides I used to do the same with my androids. Always changing the home screen with different launcher configurations, making everything looks combined and fancy af. Eventually i just get bored of what I had so I changed that to, and sometimes it was even frustrating cause I was tired of seeing the same stuff for weeks but I didn’t had another great idea to make the home screen look amazing again. Now that I have an iPhone I don’t need to do that. It looks so damn good that I’m just fine with how it is. The animations everywhere, the blur, the colors. Everything goes so good together, and it even matches the wardware and my other Apple products. Is not bad cause you can’t change the look of your phone, is good cause you don’t even have to. It’s just looks great ✨
