I was first excited and then confused by these, too. I don't shop Korean sunscreens to get old filters with low SPF and have to also wait forever to get them. If that's what I wanted I'd buy domestic in the nearest drugstore today. I mean, maybe you're right and they want to have some options they can sell in the US, but....overall I was disappointed by the same two you were. I bought the tone-up one because A.) I wanted to support a brand I love, and B.) it sounds like a great option for when my skin is sensitized from Adapalene, sounds very soothing. The other two are just a complete miss for me.

The fact that they spent 2-3 years to develop 3 sunscreens that use old unstable and low protection organic filters, and one with mineral filters is disappointing. Imagine what kind of incredible sunscreens they could have made with that money and time using the new filters.

Girl, I have to tell you. I am triggered by Stylevana at the moment. I placed an order May 22nd that was supposed to be delivered yesterday, finally, and USPS would not deliver it, because they claimed the postage was counterfeit. Told me to contact the sender. I find the customer service for Stylevana to be pretty much nonexistent, so I’ve just decided I will never be ordering from them again. I knew the prices were too good to be true, I don’t trust them anymore and I’ll pay a little bit more to get things from a more reputable retailer.

I personally am a little thrown off at their new direction with this release and their 20% niacinimide and other actives serums (a la cosrx?) The onion newpair b5 ampoule was the last thing they dropped where i was like YES I NEED THIS.(which wasnt that long ago to be fair lol) I understand the desire to crossover into the US market, but that Cosrx vitamin e sunscreen did not prove to be very successful for them if i recall (also maybe because of the strong scent!) But still, I don't think i will be buying these. I have the issue of old school filters seeping into my eyes (sometimes hours after I apply and it dries down!) as to where i cannot see, and I will not be taking that risk with these. I would have been okay with lower spfs if they used the newer filters because they would probably be even more lightweight then our established favs, but this missed the mark imo. I also purchased a bunch of the abib sedum protection tube which i have just recently become obsessed with! I love that some sunscreens are using panthenol instead of niacinimide so I dont feel nervous layering them with my other millions of niacinimide containing products lol!

The onion SPF was so disappointing. It was so heavy feeling and could’ve been so much better. After they came out, Isintree was transparent about their intent to make their products more available internationally. So yes, I’m sure they’re trying to get into Sephora and Ulta by including US filters. If they were more forward with their intent BEFORE the new SPF’s came out I feel like they would’ve avoided a lot of frustration from customers.

Well said!! I still feel bad to this day that I let stylevana send me these (and with such excitement too…originally 🥲). I just never thought I had to ask, “do they contain avobenzone?” I mean, it’s isntree. I like their HA sunscreen, and I think we all expected these to be similar but better! Had they been clear up front, I would have known to pass, but been excited to hear they’re coming to our retailers. Sigh!

@@AliceintheRabbitHole exactly. I’ll gladly wait a couple weeks to get get my Korean SPF opposed to use something that’s going to feel heavy and irritate my skin.
