I've used the original formula because I can have only mineral sunscreen with my rosacea. The texture is a little heavy, but I've learned to apply it with wet fingertips and spread it with a wet foundation brush. I can always use it full strength if my red patches are flaring up; it's a great texture fixer at full strength. Thanks for all your details, this a high energy presentation to prepare for!

The video of makeup and skincare sounds so interesting. I always wonder if it really works, we would never apply a serum on top of a sunscreen in a regular skincare routine. How does foundation get to have all those benefits? 🤔

Agreed. The same with moisturising primers, that makes no sense to me. Sunscreen is occlusive, your skin should already be moisturised before you apply sunscreen; nothing can be expected to penetrate through sunscreen. I suppose some people might use them at night but we don't have night in the summer here in Scotland.

@@catrice1296 No. Skincare formulations and technology improve and evolve over time. Science and innovation are the reason there are multi-use formulations today. If you're older and resistant to change, no worries. the younger generation will embrace these products.

Unfortunately the fact that they put Octycrylene in this makes it an automatic no from me. I live on an island and this ingredient destroys coral reefs so I can't in good conscious use it. Oh wow. I didn't know that about reefs. I just commented I wish they wouldn't put all these skincare additives such as SPF as well since they make me break out so bad. I'm nearing 40 and my skin is acne prone like a teenager. It's so frustrating 😫

I have both of these It cosmetics cc creams. But truthfully I only use the cc cream glow, as it is perfect on my skin. The regular cc cream is too heavy showing my flaws and dry patches too much. I'm sticking with cc glow as it covers what I want covered but doesn't emphasize my dry textured skin at all. Great video..

Love the nude glow, I don’t use it as my sunscreen per se , but it’s nice to Carry and touch up with knowing that I’m bumping up my spf Now that my beloved Dior has been changed this is a go to.

I love the original cc cream - i dont typically wear foundation, but when i do, I prefer a sheer-med coverage. To get that finish with the cc, I use a half pump with a brush, and then I dab over it with a damp beauty blender. Works like a dream :)

This was really helpful thank you. I'm 48, I have rosacea, deepening lines, I also use tret on my face every night that gives me flaky areas around my mouth & nose so I personally have always shied away from the original. I remember watching tutorials years ago thinking oh gosh, that looks too heavy for me. I might seriously consider this one. Thank you x

If you have flaky skin, use oil, then top with petrolatum product. See Dr Dray for more info.

Have you tried the reformulated Milk Sunshine Skin Tint? I find that is the most lightweight tint I have, yet you get a good light-medium coverage and for a finish, my goodness it gives the most beautiful glow I have ever seen. Hands down one of my favs. It's different than the OG version. And I have oily dehydrated skin and it's one of my favs still to date

When I was in my early 20s I absolutely loved the original CC cream. Now in my late 20s the new Nude Glow is way more my vibe! It’s thinner, lighter, and glowy without being shiny. I am combo skin where my forehead gets oily but the new Nude Glow simply looks like skin. Beautiful & Radiant! I love having an IT product for me again as I loved the original, but the new one is for me now! 💜

Thank you for the review! I bought the original formula based on your recommendation as you said that even if your skin was dry and flakey when you had a cold, it still looked nice. Sadly, dry skin in your twenties is clearly not dry skin in your fifties. My daughter loves it and is on her second tube now, so it was not a loss at all. It made me appear to have dry skin all over my face. I am always well-basted, so it was not for lack of skincare! This new product sounds more suitable. I wish it was available in the smaller size so that we could try it more easily. The company must have confidence in their products by now given the sales, it seems like it would make sense to allow people to try smaller sizes first. I'm sure they would reach more customers if they did.

Ah I knew my girl would be trying this! 😊I definitely want to try it. My personal opinion on skincare, especially SPF in foundations is I would rather they don't put in all those additives. I am very acne prone and these skincare additives constantly make me break out REALLY bad. And it doesn't have enough SPF to protect anyway so I know I'm in the latter camp but I would rather be in control of adding SPF and my own skincare. This one looks beautiful though! Hope my skin can handle it 😁

The ONLY reason I have never used the It Cosmetics CC creams is because of the shade range. I am much lighter than the fair shade they offer, and I was so ecstatic to see they had a better range this round AND in a more sheer formula. I'm definitely going to be picking up a sample of the glow as it fits my personal preferences more. Thank you for the comparison Amanda! ☺️

I highly recommend it! I'm also way too pale for most shade lines but found Fair Porcelain in the nude glow to be a perfect match for me. Hope you had some good luck, too.

I don’t feel like I want to spend more money for a product that you have to use more of. I’m really happy with the CC cream, but interested to see how these both fare long term. I’ve gotten good at sheering the cc cream our so the “heaviness” doesn’t bother me.

I’ve been trying out the different Metal finish Sephora collection eyeshadows since you mentioned them. LOVE that formula. Not so crazy about the other formulates though. I’ve discovered the Eye Love palettes seems to have the same metal formulas. Which is a great deal since those are 14 dollars a palette. BUT the colors on the website, and colors in real life are very different. The Violet palette isn’t purple at all, it’s more bronze, taupe, cool tans, and one matte that has a purple under tone. Beautiful none the less. Happy Makeuping!

Great comparison video, thanks Amanda! I’ve been wearing the original for years and love it. I also have quite a bit of peach fuzz and therefore, I dermaplane my face every other week and it makes my makeup look so much smoother, you can’t really tell that I’m wearing makeup. Have you ever tried dermaplaning?

Does the nude glow compare to the Charlotte Tillbury Hollywood Filter at all? Im thinking of buying the original CC cream and mixing it with that. But I'm also being drawn to the Nude Glow

I like the coverage and the finish of the original cc cream, but the oils do break me out sometimes. I have very dry skin, but every time I put some type of oil on my face, I break out. The oil-free cc creams and foundations don't break me out, but it looks usually so dry on my skin, but it usually is good for blurring effect on photographs, but not for video. I'd like to find a skin tint that is mineral based and clean so it won't give me as much pimples. Though, most companies right now are changing formulas and discontinuing old versions. I also need an affordable one so it is so tough to find one without trying a sample.

I keep trying to use this product...and I'm having trouble with it pilling. Any suggestions? I know it has alot of it's own skincare in the ingredients...but I can't skip like my vit c and moisturizer in the morning! Right? lol I have even tried waiting like an hour in between skin prep and applying this nude glow tinted spf...and it still wants to peel away from my skin for some reason. Skin type is dry and I've been applying with brush, fingers, and sponge (trying them all) Help anyone???

I really wanted to try the Nude Glow, until I heard it has chemical sunscreen in it. Darn it. I cannot use chemical sunscreens, they make my face soooo itchy, and like little needles poking all over my face. 😩 There has been so many products I’ve wanted to try, then I’m so bummed when I see the chemical sunscreen in them 😢

I just bought this and didn’t even check, assumed it was the same as the original. Disappointing….would rather they just not put any sunscreen in honestly Vs. Chemical sunscreen. .

I think the original looked better on your skin. I don't like thick or cakey make up but it made your skin look more youthful. When I think of cakey makeup MAC and NARS always comes to mind. The collagen can't penetrate into your pores that's why it sits on your skin but you have to put it on thinner layers. I feel water makes it thinner and spreadable? I can't recall. You have to have the right sponge that will push the product in your pores. Not all beauty blenders are made the same. I found this out by working at ULTA. Collagen and silk aminos are thicker but they soften imperfections so it is doing the job as advertised. I like thicker foundation in summer for more Sun protection. Fair skins or ppl with melasma need thicker foundation and higher SPF. I can't ever find an SPF lotion that my foundation didn't fight with during application. That's why I buy this product.

The original CC cream clogs my pores like crazy! I learned I need to wear a shielding primer to stop that. But doesn’t that detract from the skincare benefits? Hmm.. it also feels heavy on my skin. But I wanted the spf and coverage. I found the original CC cream goes on best and looks best with the It cosmetics 702 liquid foundation brush. Mist airbrushed than the sponge. Sounds like the new nude glow sounds better for me but it’s disappointing it has less spf. But try that brush because it blew my mind with the original CC. Game changer.

If you check out the natural light demos you get a better feel for the foundation finish- it’s much more natural. Studio lights often can look glowier on the skin than they appear in real life

@@AmandaZ yea I did look,I think other glowy foundations you own they looked better on you ,I think that would be perfect if they do the shades better as well,I find that the new one looks orange on you,I see they have a lightest shade fair porcelain for the glow one,I m debating if I should try it cos the regular cc fair is too deep for me I can only wear it in summer (cos it oxidized to a shade deeper too☹️) I’ve finished my reboot foundation but it seems not as radiant or glowy compare to I wore it in the beginning,i like the guerlain glow one,but I’m also looking for one more option to have something similar to reboot ,that doesn’t cling onto dry spots . I saw that but just on the side of the face with the older version. Haven't tried either so I assumed it was the side with the new product just going off of the word "glow". The side that actually has the new glow version does not look greasy but very natural. Will definitely purchase the new version.
