About the Artemis M30: The gun you showed us has the F in the pentagon sign on it, which means it can be sold to adults without a license in Germany, because the muzzle energy does not exceed 7.5 Joules. So if the manufacturers even have a heart for us Germans and make the 7.5 J toy versions especially for us, I think they will also make a 16J version for you Britons^^

Don't get it with the FX crown. What are the spirals on the outside of the barrel ?

I think the way it works it's like this Take a specific pellet Air Arms Diablo 16 grain that pellet has ballistic data (speed that prefers,distance curve etc) Then you take a barrel the twist inside that barrel it's what makes the strengths of that pellet perform at it's best So. Asume that FX will make different test on well known pellets and find what twist it prefers Some barrels twist might work great at 25 yards with the Air Arms pellets but not be great at 50 yards so there will be a lot of testing done by FX and costumers on barrels with specific pellets at different distances to get the very best results on barrel+twist+pellet= result

No, FX doesn't bore and rifle the smooth twist barrel. They take a machine that essentially crushes the barrel lengthwise to the point that the grooves or long "dents" show up on the inside. So the barrel is now grooved on the inside... kind of. The gooves you see on the outside are the result of that machine pressing on the metal. Those exterior grooves do nothing, just a byproduct of the rifling process.

Regardless of purchase costs who makes the best air rifle thats both accurate and can adjust the power out put. To be either + 12 fps or 12fps for vermin control with farm sheds. The law in the uk says semi auto in .22RF. An air rifle isn't a rimfire, I can't see how that would be able to come here in semi auto. In fact didn't they seize some semi auto air pistols recently for that exact reason?
