my new scorpio se had to go back to bsa .had to have another barrel fitted told the bore was off centre in the origanal one waited two weeks to get it back not even an appollagy so much for their barrel making skills

please make longer barrel options my Gamo coyote would benefit drastically , since its very loud when on full power I get Hades .22 @ 940fps - JSB 18g @890fps a longer barrel would stabilize then gun and give a lot more power it could be the next entry level slug gun with good performance

Ok guys an update on the work needed on my BRA to get it to group and shoot straight. 1. Both ends of the barrel were faced of to make them square and true 2. Crown recut because it didnt have any and also the burr removed from where there should have been a crown. 3. A new purpose build regulator with a life time guarrentee on it (BSA you reading this?) because the standard reg was pushing between 4-6 ftlbs, now it shoots 11.7- 11.8ftlbs. All work done by a great guy from AirTech rifles (thanks Carl) BSA you need to start reading some of theres comments, because people arent going to keep putting up with this half arse built shit.............Thats you chris at BSA

The QC guy must of been asleep because the crown on the barrel on my BSA PCP looks like it was cut with a chisel and a hammer. It's latterly beveled all the way around. Tool breakage at the factory?

You can, but it's not needed. It has very efficient valving with a small air resevoir. You shoot 30 shots, then refill.

Good when they get it right, however there was a period when they when not so good, with tight & loose spots as you pushed a pellet through the bore, bsa lightnings seemed to have the most of these faulty barrels, my R10 would only group well with one pellet so luckily John Bowkett chnged it with good one for me FOC when i had it blueprinted by him before he fell out with BSA. I now groups well with all god quality pellets.

Sadly after all that some Brummie shoves the barrel in any old how. On my MK1 BSA Lightning barrel is off to the right and droops. In addition there are terrible weld lumps on the breech which still has no lock nut. Spring is non sleeved, steel guided against a badly machined cylinder. Even the stock was packed out with nylon to assist the cocking arm movement. Overall dreadful workmanship from this once respectable firm.

What you buy is not what Bsa described.crap regulators. So so so barrels. Loads of hammer bounce. Chrome flaking from bolt probes. .22 bolt probes breaking in half. .

Barrels are not as good as Lother Walther. That’s why BSA barrels do not win many competitions. Also , lots of their newer models are faulty.

bsa may have made good guns in the past i had one 30 years ago and it was great so when i started shooting again a couple of years ago i got a bsa big mistake biggest peace of crap i have ever payed for would NEVER buy another bsa i now shoot walthers i own 3 and have never had a problem with any of them
