Andy have you never kept African Cichlids? All they do is sift, eat and spit sand. Lol. I'm not a fan of my fish eating from the bottom, I probably have the only 5 Fossochromis Rostratus (sand diver) that doesn't sand sift for food. Lol. It will take sometime but she will definitely stop doing that, mine all did. As said above, I can ramble on with the best of them, so I thoroughly enjoy your waffling!

Continue to please yourself first and that'll make it more interesting and entertaining to your viewers, imo. There's nothing worse than watching some FishTubers trying hard to affect a "stylish persona" to become a fancy internet celebrity. Your "waffling" is genuine so it's perfectly fine. It shows that your interest in the fish is real to me. If a few people watch your video just to downvote it then it still shows YT that you have that regular visit and interest. It's all to the good.

Your commentary is fine Andy. I would like to see an upgrade in fish spawning pots. Terra Cotta gets tiresome in tank after tank. Try some imported Mexican ceramic pots..glazed and decorated. Even an ordinary large home improvement store's glazed pots would be nice..a glossy green maybe for the Wolffie couple. I really wish big cichlid keepers would stand back and realize TC pots and cinder blocks make for unattractive fish keeping,cinder block looking like prison conditions-lol..even though the fish are big and healthy... MY 2 CENTS. Thanks.

Fan from the first video, think about year and a half ago. Me is from Holland, my girlfriend from Thailand. In the beginning my girlfriend couldn't understand what you said. Sad thing the world get flooded with that foolish Murrican accent. So sometimes I'm trying rumbling to her Andy style. That sometimes upsets here, while I'm just joking around. But when I say relax remember that guy with the "Dovviiii", then she immediately understand I'm not trolling her😄 That's also why the "Dovviiii" goes well with them accent. Cheers mate from the "Union" where you once was a member off ✌🏼

Hi Andy, the wife and I are watching your videos again. We absolutely love them. Anyway, I wanted to ask you a question if I may. I finally found a nice male Jaguar after a lengthy search. I named him Spaz after seeing you had such great names for your fish. So my concern is he is in a 100 gallon tank all to himself with 4 Synodontis Petricola catfish that are about 3 or 4 inches long. Spaz is a solid 9 inches and has no problem with them at all but I cannot get him to eat. I've tried slow sinking pellets, floating pellets and some frozen krill in small amounts since I got him a week ago. I know that Stroppy didn't eat for a long time when he was ill but this fella was eating fine at the store. He was in a small tank to himself there. Maybe it was 15 gallons (imperial gallons here in Canada lol). Should I be worried sir ? I thought he would be tickled pink having a much larger tank. What do you think. I can e-mail you photos of his new tank and him as well if you like. My e-mail is phil.maznyk@gmail.com
@andywoodscichlids29424 жыл бұрын
Sounds about right if you have only had him just over a week. Some adult cichlids take some time to settle in. Nothing to worry about. Can take weeks before he feeds. I'd stick to pellets at first. Better for his health. Laeve treat foods till much later. If he gets a taste for treat food first you may struggle getting him onto pellets.

@andywoodscichlids29424 жыл бұрын
Don't crush them, just moisten them whole. Don't over feed. Once he get used to that gradually make the pellets dryer. Don't over feed, you may need to starve him for quite a wile. Have patience it will be worth it in the end. Happy fish keeping to you sir.
