While I'd prefer they improve it, I don't think this is a deal breaker for everyone, it just depends on how you pull your knife out of your pocket. The way I do I don't think it would make a difference. 🤷♂

Thank you very much for that. I am very OCD about those little details and I’ve always said “I’d have no luck at all in my life if it wasn’t for the bad luck” and designs like that right there my luck would 100% find and ruin my day 😂😂😂

I saw one with a solid pocket clip before I ordered mine. I thought the pictures in the review may have been older. Anyway. Wondering how strong it seems to be. I've had bad luck with those wire type bending the first time you snag them. But thanks for the heads up about the blade. I'll re-profile the edge ( remove a heavy 1/16 if an inch on it as to not risk cutting myself. Thanks for the review.

Great video. It reminds me of the Twosun TS205 which is a beautiful knife with fantastic action, but a danger to carry in pocket for the same reason.

I’ve seen a green bamboo handle version of this knife from Amazon as well. As much as I want the tried and true original Higonokami knife, the implementation of a liner lock was enticing

I got the zdp higonokami version and its my new favorite knife. The steel is super sharp and holds the edge forever, the carbon fiber looks great, and the pivot has to be one of the best ive tried(way better than my benchmades, zt, and spidercos). The only thing i dont like is the clip and the blade has a pretty long skinny point and i dont think itd be hard to snap it off. Ive never had a problem with cutting my finger when closed but its a different blade shape. Would recommend. It holds up just as good as my other 200$ knifes

I've EDC'd this for like, a year, in the same pocket as my phone. It's a helluva knife. Never had an issue until I watched this video and intentionally tried to make blade contact to see if I could. I did receive a very thin cut I did not feel when I purposely stuck my fingertip in and dragged. I do not think the likelihood of this happening on accident is particularly high. Edit: But it's still good to be aware of.

These really looks cool and seem well made, but I'm having trouble getting behind a "Japanese knife made in China". I have many Chinese knives that I like very much, but it's the idea that they're sold as Japanese knives and not made in Japan. The Amazon listings don't make that very clear.

Looks cool along with decent fit and finish, it's a shame where one little oversight makes an otherwise great knife into a very dangerous purchase. To bad because I think many people would have enjoyed this knife. Personally I'm not big on front flipper only knives (just a personal preference) but the contoured handles and blade shape kind of spoke to me along with having a clip. Thanks for the great vid Jerad and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable.
