Le Mâle was my first "real" fragrance early 1999. At that time, I really fell in love with it. I lived in Chantilly (like the cream), with its castle and the forest all around... some notes reminded my of the mushrooms, the smell of leaves in autonom... reallly loved it. I still have a connexion with it, but that's really a pity they change the "magic" of the juice. In addition, it has been too worn... so I will no longer wear it but I loved it (and the most beautiful girl of our group of friend was in love of it... and of...)

Nice review Max. Fav JPGs r Ultra Male & the OG Le Male. Haven't actually even tried any others tho maybe the eau fraiches deserve a try & maybe this? Idk sounds like maybe I'd be better off trying Chanel AHSEE. Thanks for the detailed review!

I do love Gaultier, that original Le Male was all I wore in my teens. Now I'm a sucker for Essence EDP, and so is my partner! Fleur was great, shame it's so hard to find now. Was hopeful the coconut would be a strong player... what modern masculine coconut based fragrances are worth a try?

I really enjoy Marc Jacobs Man its a fig scent but I get a coconut water feel... Gorse is amazing if you like coconut, I have a review on it...

I like this one. It has the underlying le male dna but the opening is a bit sweet like a mild ultra male with some coconut. Definitely don't just write this one off, it's worth a try at least. Samples are available on eBay.

Cool bottle. I've had a 75ml bottle of Le Male. Now I have a 125ml of Ultra Male. I like both, and pretty much equally. Both compliment eachother. UM is more clubbing+youthful+playful+deliciously sweet. LM is more mature, daily. Not wild about either fragrance though. The Le Beau looks very cool, the bottle that is.

When was it reformulated? I had a bottle from 2014. That shit lasted 24 hours. Unless it was reformulated after 2014 then I dk. But I know with Le Mlae you have to let the fragrance mature and it becomes stronger.

doesnt look or seem or smell like a flanker of le male, ultra male is for exemple a flanker to le male, le beau male yeah definitely a flanker to le male but not this one, this one has a scent on its own, the le male dna is non existant in this one opposite to le beau male that has the le male dna in it, and it has a special unique new vibe into it,ck summer might b a lil bit close to this bcuz of the coconut note but i personally havent smelled something like this before

It definitely it's own scent but in the Le Male world, not a flanker though. The coconut wood is pretty noticeable and it reminds me of wrigleys doublemint or sparemint with some sweetness and the coconut in the flavour. I find the Le Male DNA or better said the origin is noticebale in the background most of the time, but it is unique in the JPG world and I personally haven't smelled something like Le Beau. It is a really great scent and you probably get the most out of it in the spring and summer days and nichts and in the club, where the scent and heat just give you (the girls) that summer vibes drinking a nice seducting cocktail at the beach.

*30 min ago I have left the following comment under another review of this since they pop up everywhere now: 'That's one of the worst frags I have smelled lately. I was asked to review it so I went to the mall to try it and had to wash it off because it annoyed me so much how generic, boring, pointless, horribly blended and overpriced it is. And I didn't review it, of course. And the bottle is SO tacky to me... It looks a lot better in the pictures than how it did when I had it in my hand... SO SAD to me because I'm waiting for another groundbreaking Gaultier release since years. The coconut is just UGH. Terribly blended. Just being honest, like I always am.'*

Anything puig takes over is ruined. Including paco rabanne and others. Tbh no fragrance today worth it. Anything older is reformulated to the point of ruin and the newer stuff is an instant skin scent. Total rip off. Thats why i quit colognes years ago. I only wear perfume oils
