Honestly, some of my favorite striped bass fishing are these little estuaries. No deeper than 8 to 12 ft, makes for great fly fishing, and just light tackle work. A ton of fun to catch them all throughout the day and into the early afternoon

Years ago when patrons were leaving from May's Tavern, Seabreeze, NJ late at night, the Jersey Dev. would jump in front of their car and force the tipsy travelers to run off the narrow road winding through the salt marsh. Shoreline erosion removed the tavern years ago and the public is now safe.
