Calm videos with no nonsense about “right, laws” etc like this one is what the drone community need to see more of, it’s also great PR. Hot girls walking their dogs in the park come up like "OMG, my dog loves your drone so much!" And no one has even mentioned the big newshoax to me yet. Just last week I was getting video of a 6 acre hobby farm. I could see the older neighbor lady walking 2 hundred yards down her ridiculously long drive way dragging her garbage bins. That should have been a sign to drive a little further down the road to finish the shoot, but nope...I had faith she would not bother me. I was wrong. Next thing I know she comes right up to my car and starts taking pics of me and my license plate. That's when I got out of the car as she was walking away and I yelled out to her, "now we both have pictures of each other.". Okay....I didn't say that last part, but I did say that her neighbor is selling and if she has questions she can speak to them and or the agent. I've been doing real estate for 11yrs now and our stories are very similar. In town people are mostly normal. In the country they threaten to shoot my drone down and call the cops.

Seemed like I was one bad response away from getting punched. All I could do was calmly diffuse it. The joke of it was, I was flying a big open space with some trees and he was the only dog walker there, I could see him in the goggles so I purposely avoided going close or over him and he still yells at me “YOU THINK THIS IS FUNNY?!”. Do I think what’s funny?… “YOU FLY OVER MY HEAD!”. No, I did not. Followed by explaining that I do this for work too and I wouldn’t try to annoy anyone with it. But still.. “YOU REALLY PISSED ME OFF!”. This dynamic continued for a few minutes.

Your “aircraft”, joke right?
@andrewdrone4 сағат бұрын
Not in the slightest. Drones are, as a matter of fact, officially aircraft. Shooting one down carries a maximum sentence of 20 years and $250k. Further, interfering with the operation of an aircraft is a federal crime, so if the pilot warns someone they are distracting them, they continue to do so at their own peril. That said, most pro pilots, myself included, will be more than happy to share how it all works, especially after landing. No one is peeping on anything, because a) it's a comically ineffective tool to do that compared to a good smartphone like a S23, and b) drone pilots don't care what is in someone's yard any more than helicopter pilots do.

The timing of the drones being flown in New Jersey is really in question, since there is so much focus now on certain drones being outlawed by select Congressional members. They showed up with an AR 15 and a pistol and ambushed me. I barely made it by following their instructions. When I go out, people come out of the woodwork to scream at me even if I’m on a completely legal open space area. One time a Park Ranger tried to steal my drone. It was on the ground outside the park perimeter, but I got to it first, and he was on the opposite side of bushes and couldn’t reach it. Too bad. It’s just too much of a negative hassle and attacks by the Sheriff who lie and wouldn’t even tell me who did it. Another neighbor told me later.
