Also try to visit during the summer months. My girl and I like to begin a summer day trip with a unique breakfast at one of the many cool breakfast or lunch cafe's. Then tube the Delaware and experience the River Dog hot dog stand that floats in the middle of the river serving you without you ever having to get out of you large comfortable rented tube. Finally, a quick shower, lunch at one of the riverside restaurants, then spend the remainder of the day shopping, antiquing, and snacking, or watching a Delaware River sunset.

The Lambertville station used to be part of the Black River and Western RR back in the 90s. They used to run a steam train from Ringos to Lambertville. Now they just run train rides from Flemington to Ringos.

So cool. 🚂 I just read online that they are working to restore service all to Lambertville again.

I'm really happy you were able to travel just a little further south to see where Washington made his famous crossing. Goat Hill Overlook (featured in the beginning of the video) was a lookout area and one of the many places his men staged themselves prior to their crossings. Next time, visit in the spring- both sides! Check out Bowman's Tower on the other side of the river.

Thank for this great video ! Lambert are a french surname and very common name here in Quebec (Canada) and in France. The word ville means city in French.
