why do some of the 21000 series buses have white backs

a bunch of the white backs were operated under Coach USA. NJ Transit gave Coach USA some buses from the 2021 order for them to operate, which came with fully paintable bodies. However Coach USA wouldn’t really need them, so NJ Transit took them back and repainted them into NJT colors.

@@DCTransitFilms why do the 40 series buses have broken LED signs and why do all of the 19xxx bathroom buses belong to every agency but NJIT?
