Love the total package of this band. Very refined musicianship and obviously killer vocals.

This song is structured like Vortex. Which is to say there is isn't much structure. It meanders through movements like a classical piece. It reminds me of a metal piece written by Chopin.

It reminds me of when you see someone play a single instrument but are tapping their fingers, doing an underlying bass line and melody at the same time and yet this is individual instruments well synchronized. I love how Roman does little note runs in between chugs that peak out just at the right time. This is song is also once again a testament to how Tatiana can take a completed instrumental and layer vocals that make sense over them. Granted the guys are probably considering vocals when doing the instruments but when they do they have no idea what she is gong to come up with. They give a peek into the writing process in a recently released video called "Jinjer From Nothing" by Audiotree that also includes the band playing three songs from Wallflowers. It's a great watch.

I love this new song by Jinjer, always love Jinjer! I've done some amateur dabbling in music, but I love hearing musicians talk about Jinjer because as you said they're just "So so good"! I love the portrayals in this video of Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, Marie Curie and (I think) Georgia O'Keeffe, although since we know Tatiana loves Frida Kahlo (as do I) because of that tattoo on her arm, I will always think of that character in this video as Georgia O'Keeffe on the outside and Frida Kahlo on the inside. Great reaction, Matt! Thank you as always for bringing more of the fantastic music of Jinjer to more people! ❤️ 🖤 🤘

They are indeed *SO* good!! All 4 of them. :) This is *A LOT* to take in on first listen. LOL The melody, harmony, rhythmic change-ups, syncopation on top of that.... so much brain-tickling complexity from the lads.... & then Tatiana manages to come up with those vocal lead & harmony lines over the top o_O She doesn't get enough credit for the quality of writing she creates over the lads' already complex music. Hopefully I don't have to wait too long to buy a new Jinjer album. :)

Loving this song. Starting with a good bit of cleans before getting to harsh, reminds me of "Vortex" and "Wallflowers". "Just a tease of what’s to come very soon" is in the video description, very much looking forward to that. Yep, Cleopatra, also Joan of Arc, Marie Curie, and the painter I've seen commented as either Georgia O'Keefe or Frida Kahlo. Until we get more new stuff, you haven't heard "Wallflowers" that I mentioned above, also check out an older song "I Speak Astronomy"

I saw them in New Haven CT maybe 6-8 months ago. They were so incredibly tight. Vlad kit is cranked down so tight...I love it. It sounds like a drum corps/marching band. It's impossible to hyperbolize Vlad's drumming.

Vlad wrote a lot of recent Jinjer music full stop (most songs on Wallflovers album), not only the drum parts... And apart from drums, he plays guitar and is classically trained on piano (has a university degree). His favourite composer is Sergei Rachmaninoff ;o)
