@@InfiniteBaffle I'm using my old NAD 316bee which is hard to beat. I have noticed it's running a little hotter than it did with my previous speakers due to the low efficiency of the Concertos. But they sound great. Very expansive sound, ample bass, and a very nice upper midrange that rolls off nicely before getting shrill. I like the sound a lot. Not super punchy, which some people might think is boring, but it suits my ear and I haven't heard anything better in this price range.

Great review. I personally love my Q350 but know these are a big step up. I had the LS50 meta and loved the clarity but preferred the scale and bass weight of the Q350. I’d like my next speakers to be these or the new towers from ELAC the debut 3.0 , I think Kef made the perfect attainable speaker at the perfect price.

I agree with you about the appearance of the bas driver - it's because we can see the (rubber) surround. With the other KEF speakers, that part is hidden

Take a look at the Klippel data from Erin's Audio Corner for this KEF model. Though not designed to hit reference levels, at least for sheer audio reproduction they hold their own against some of KEF's higher models.

I just found and subbed to your channel. The R3 Meta is priced at 1900GBP and the Concerto Meta is priced at 1099GBP, with a price increase of 72.88%. My gut feeling is the difference might not be much or anywhere close to a 70% difference. However, I am starting to think both speakers are exceptional value for money in their respective price ranges, as you would need to pay a lot more to get the same performance with other speakers. Please make an AB video of The Concerto vs R3 Meta, This video alone will help grow your channel. Does the R3 Meta outperform the Concerto by 72.88 percent? Does the Concerto blow the R3 Meta out of the water given the fact it's 72.88 cheaper? Can you kindly make a video of an AB test so we know how close the performance difference between both speakers is?

Shame about the plastic feet, Do these speakers come with good internal bracing like the the KEF R series? When read the spec sheet on the Q11 they seemed quite light in weight considering the size of the cabinet.

Yes, the whole Q range is pretty light for their overall size, I guess there has to be a drawback somewhere when you’re getting this performance at this price, I think build quality is spot on though, KEFs are always put together really well

Great video! I am considering this Q series. I wonder how they stack up against the all new 1528 series by Arendal, specifically the bookshelf slims, as that is their lower cost option in that series. Or to the Focals that you mentioned. 🍻 Cheers

I have to be honest, I've never heard anu Arendal stuff so I can't comment too much there, with regards to the Focal as I mentioned I love their 'signature' sound, but I think generally people would preferthe KEF sound, it's more well rounded, I think the Focal is almost a little more niche, it's great for vinyl in particular, whereas the KEF does almost everything to a really good level, hope that helps!

I'd need to do an AB test to truly say, but i feel the Concerto may be a little more refuned, the LS50s are always a classic though, super dyanmic, you can't go wrong with either I don't think! I certainly prefer to look of the LS50 I'll say that!

I can only really comment on the Focals in comparison, as mentioned I really like the Focal sound, but I'd expect the Concerto to give you a lot more than the Theva, much wider, more dyanmic sound, better low end also, Focals I find to be a really rich sound, KEF a little less warm, hope that helps!

I think you really should have compared these to the R3 Metas as they are nearly the same price. Off rip, I'd say why not go R3 with more bass and better looks for barely any more money.
