Such a bummer we can't get the 204hp engine in the UK. Maxed out at 160hp. Still a great car!

@@WillMorgan89 Isn't that the case for the PHEV only? I checked on the Kia website and the 1.5l GDi petrol engine with 160bhp is the only available power train.

@@acuity1980 maybe it's country dependant? I've just placed an order for a 1.5 GDi and it's 138bhp. Been on the forums and they confirm they're all 138

@@acuity1980 haha, thank you 😌. Yes, UK. I chose the GT-Line with the DCT. I'm not too disappointed with the reduction in power, the torque is apparently the same. However, I did drive the 160hp model a year ago and it was pretty quick! This will be mine and my wife's first "new" car so we're pretty excited.....well, at least I am! 😅

Such a same that KIA wants to shove the crossovers in our throats, over the standard hatchbacks, because of the SUV fever that will soon pass. KIA Ceed is an amazing car and we can't get a hold of it because the sales are low... What a sad era to buy a car

45 k euros for 204 hp is prohibitive. The car is nice, but much too powerful in this configuration for that ground clearance. In straights at 140 km/h I can feel ESC corrections, and in curves it is not great at all even below legal speed limits. :) I definitely like the car, and keep it happily, but a higher power (my case...160hp) is just useless. A simple ceed or proceed gt are the proper configurations for the 1.6L engine, and maybe significantly cheaper.
