With the new table space in the truck you could make a spot for an aux battery and use the battery to power the inverter and the rest of the lights in the cap.

Ya I have thought about that as well as slim solar panels on top of the roof top tent as well.

Hello again, Tony Thank you for another Great Video 👍 I think the lighting is great. It doesn't take up much space. And the it produces looks good. Time will tell as you use it. It's always a process 😆 lol.

Thank you. Haha that's very true. I already have to go in and remove the sticky backing from the zip tie holders I used and replace them with the Gorilla tape. In the heat some of them keep falling off lol. Simple fix though

Have you looked to see if the wiring is in the wheel well is praent for side marker lights? I mean the Colorado and the Canyon come off the same line. And manufacturers don't like having different wiring harnesses unless they absolutely don't have too.
@TonyTheTechnician5 ай бұрын
No I haven't looked for them but they have connection points in most harnesses now so if something isn't on one trim it's easy to not install that part of the harness.

Do you have details on how you wired it to your inverter?
@TonyTheTechnician5 ай бұрын
It's just a positive and negative. Connect to the corresponding posts on the back of the inverter

What type of connector did you use to get the 3 positive ends or 3 negative ends soldered together? Did you stuff 2 ends into 1 side of a straight connector? Thanks
@TonyTheTechnician5 ай бұрын
Yes I used solder connectors. They work great. amzn.to/4cQgIKK

@@TonyTheTechnician thank you! Did you have to use a bigger size connector to get 2 of the 18 gauge tails into 1 side or does the 18-22 size connector work?
@TonyTheTechnician5 ай бұрын
@dominicalonso1100 If I remember correctly I used 14 or 12 gauge on my end and then the 2 - 18 gauge on the other end and I used a blue connector if I am not mistaken.

Are the windows on the topper tinted?
@TonyTheTechnician6 ай бұрын
Yes they are pretty dark but I think I'll be tinting them a little darker
@Echoingencouragement5 ай бұрын
Did you use tape because the mounts are useless with screws.
@TonyTheTechnician5 ай бұрын
No I stated I used the mounts on the 2 running the length of the bed. I used tape on the one on the door bc I'm not drilling through the door to mount a light 🤣
