So at 10:45 that’s actually a red Mercury Cougar. You can tell because of the rear roof line being squared off rather than sloped like an 83-86 Thunderbird. I own an 86 Thunderbird. Wish it was red so I could call it a drone! But with only 46,000 miles, I’ll leave it alone lol. Love your content!!

Knight Strike has to be my most favorite episode of all time because two returning cameos from the first season have come, and I'm really rocking that camouflage swimsuit Sheila's wearing, and by the way, the laser weapon that was attacking Michael and KITT, forgot to mention about it. thanks Joe for bringing this up👍.

I have the original screwed up season 3 disks. That messed up quite a few scenes across several eps if I remember. Is that BTTF2 tunnel the entrance to ToonTown from Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Also, my favorite performance by Jack O’Halloran was “Emil Muzz” in Dragnet (1987). Now everyone else list your favorite Jack movie!

This is one of my favourite episodes of the whole series..it's a fab episode...one again Joe,a great commentary with lots of info..so a rare episode without the left hand blind drive car,the right hand blind drive car did get a new S3 bumper and kept it on through S4 despite the new bumpers being fitted to mostly all the others..thanks for clearing up that it wasn't your car that was hit in the car park,thought for a while it was due to the window blackouts...yes i did see the Sessums and Slegal video,its great,and they also did a lot of miniature work on Airwolf too...please keep up the the scenes with your KITT,as you know i own a piece oof one of the original tyres..so to see where that car was used is brilliant..looking forward to Circus Knight,another good one..thanks Joe..

I still have my original DVDs with the defect. The only reason I even remembered it was that some of the sound effects were missing from 'Lost Knight' which is one of my favorite episodes. Never thought about it again until I watched this video. I have since bought the Blu-Rays but I still have the original DVDs.

It's all very well saying that knightrider in the USA was on in the week or friday nights.......but people forget about the UK showing......it was shown on central tv and other itv regions in the 80s on a saturday afternoon 530pm! 😉👍 And also shown on ch5 milkshake in the mornings on saturdays 9.25am in the 1990s! 😉👍

Thank you again for your awesome analysis videos, Joe. 👍 The mirrored scenes were probably done to show KITT driving or standing in the same direction as in the shot before and after. I once heard something about an "optical axis" in filming were you would show for example a train always driving from the left to the right and not change sides filming it, because it would look irritating. I think that’s definitely the reason for reversing the footage. As Kitt was seen from the left side, Michael has to be shown from the left as well. So it’s all a storytelling thing and very important for the right flow through the story.

Hey my friend...love your channel... In fact I decided to put a scanner on my 2001 T/A because of how much you brought back my love of K/R. You mentioned in this video about finding someone with the Season Three DVD set that has the ORIGINAL DVD for this episode without the Sound Effects update. To be perfectly honest, I NEVER knew there was a flaw in this print of the episode on the DVD set at all, much less knowing that Universal had offered a swap for a replacement disc. So I loaded up this episode tonight and sure enough there was the rifle ricochets off of KITT and all you hear are the Squib sounds. SO interesting that you even noticed this! I guess that's why you're the historians! So I have this DVD and you mentioned something about wanting to get in touch with someone who has the non-replaced DVD...Let me know if you've already gotten what you need from another viewer of your channel. I'm in Toronto, Canada. You'd be surprised how COOL the $25 Amazon 5050 LED Knight light strip looks on the 5th generation T/A. There are several videos on YT where people have installed this strip or another larger one into the RAM AIR inlets of the 5th gen...but my T/A is a non-Ram Air version, and so I had to make my own unique and MINIMAL modifications to get it in place. Really looks awesome....can't believe I didn't do this before! Since I have my own channel, I may make a DIY video so others can see how easily done this actually is! Anyway get in touch with me if you need that DVD...As long as I get an official replacement DVD I'd be happy!

can confirm that my knight rider ultimate collection (as well as ahem... back ups) contain those SFX issues, you can hear squibs go off, although it's not as clear as it is in your shown version.

Cool episode! I also learned about the Sessums channel few days ago and subscribed immediatly. Very interesting to see how they did the model scenes :) The DVD recall has probably been only in US, as haven't heard anything about it here in Finland. I have a UK release (Universal Playback) and two Scandinavian releases of the 3rd season dvd box sets and all of them have missing sound effects and replaced / missing music. Luckily I have the VHS recordings, which have original audio intact :) I also have two 4th season dvd boxes, one UK release and one Scandinavian release. The menu is different between them at least.

Knowing the episodes were filmed out of order made me realize the fire truck in circus knights is likely the same VW thing in the 19th hole as it has thecsame roll bar. I always thought it was but then wasn't sure if they fixed it after 19th hole or what. But now I know thd truth that it was filmed on circus knights first.

Apparently not all of the day 1 release season 3 box sets had the error. I was just talking to someone on your FB page who says he bought his set the day they came out and his disc has the correct sound effects while my day one set has the incorrect sound effects. According to Google, that set was released January 31, 2006 and I happened to be living in Phoenix during that time and likely picked it up at Best Buy.
