I recently have been upgrading most of my hand tools. I have really enjoyed your videos. After buying a pair of needle nose and a slip joint pliers, I'm all in on Klein. There are parts of this video I laughed way harder than usual :p

I just got these linesman pliers and a pair of 8 inch Klein Dykes. I love the new linesman’s they are replacing my Channellock 369’s and I’ll be honest the channellocks cut smoother, more of a buttery feel while the Kliens cut with more of a snap. The Kliens are in my everyday bag.

I have literally have these tools in my Amazon cart. I am an electrician and a bit of a tool geek. I have used Klein, channellock, and Knipex. I currently use the 3610 Channellock which has been the best cutting pair of pliers ive owned. Only caveat is the seem long for daily use [10.5"] and the handles are thinner and dont form to my hand like Klein, this can be annoying when making alot of splices in a day The Knipex were good for a year. Cut better than the blue dipped kleins i owned but the blades started rolling and eventually chipped. I replaced those with Klein high end blue and black handled with the crimper and fish puller. And the blades were dull. Since day one. They crush rather than cut the wire. But theyve held up great and i beat the tar out of them as a hammer. Knipex had a bunch of marks and pitting on the head whereas the Klein did not. Not knocking Knipex but I feel Klein has better steel. Ive owned 3 pairs of the red handled dikes over 5 years and they either dull out or the blades fail to align right when making a cut. But they just feel right to me so i keep going back to Kleins dikes.
@realworldtoolreviews2 жыл бұрын
Well, I haven’t used these new ones except for a little bit today, but I have to say I think those red handled Kleins might be the best of the best. They cut effortlessly. And as far as dikes go, I think the blue 2000 series are pretty tough to beat. I’m excited to see how the longer yellow ones compare.

I’ve preferred my knipex lineman’s over my Klein D213’s. But I just picked up a pair of HD2000-9NE’s. Can’t wait to give them a shot. Recently I’ve been using a pair of SK lineman’s that I picked up on a steals and deals prior to the sale to china. I like those too.
@realworldtoolreviews Жыл бұрын
I think the SK ones were the same as the USA ideal ones. They are good for sure. I think you will enjoy the Klein 2000 ones. They are the best I’ve ever used.
@ricker76er Жыл бұрын
@@realworldtoolreviews I agree, idea owned SK, and now ideals are made in china, not the us anymore. Sad. I’ve already noticed a lot of improvements on the 2000’s. Loose out of the box and much more aggressive knurling in the jaw.
@ptstouring492 жыл бұрын
Congrats. Klein lineman really are the best. I have had a set of HD213-9NE for 20 plus years and use them the most. Sort of wish they were 2000 series like yours, but they held up to a lot of stuff before I had the right tool and the thicker grip I got used to. I probably have two dozen pair of lineman, but that’s what I use. I have had the yellow 9in bent lineman in my cart for ages. Maybe I will pull the trigger. I just wish they had a thicker grip. I use the 250mm bent Knipex cutters for staple and nail pulling and the Klein glow in the dark 2000 series straight ones for general use. I like the glowies because the handles are double dipped (I think the HD is just thicker and a different material because there are not two visible layers, but I am not sure). I have a full set of glowie pliers (including the bent cutters) but I won’t use them (except the straight cutters) as I want to keep them nice (stupid, I know).
@realworldtoolreviews2 жыл бұрын
It’s not that stupid lol. I have tools that I barely use too just because I don’t want to mess them up. I like the glow in the dark handles too. I didn’t know they were double dipped. The yellow cutters definitely would be better if they were double dipped like the linemans.

@ptstouring492 жыл бұрын
Spray a few drops of ballistol in the joints and open and close them while watching tool youtube videos. :-)

Just put some oil on the rivet and get to work. They usually free up after a couple days of use. If you don’t use them that much, just open and close them while you are watching tv or something. I do that sometimes 😂

I have the ones with the Journeyman blue handles. Super tough linesman and diagonal cutters but my dikes are the heavy duty 9 inch. They have a bigger head and are good for banging in romex staples in tight spots, and prying nails and staples.

@realworldtoolreviews Жыл бұрын
I actually don’t love these dikes as much as I love the lineman’s. The handles are just too long to use every day. They cut great, but I like the 8 inch ones way better. I keep these in my carpentry bag now for prying and cutting finish nails. They were great for that.
