Really like the look of those newly designed Old Coffin knife slip. I’ve been using one of your pocket organizers for several months now, I can see me adding one of those knife slips for EDC during the warmer months when I’m wearing shorts. Great idea! - Tennessee Smoky

That is one great looking Case Trapper. Seems like the perfect combination of carbon blade steel and those handle scales are going to be great for everyday carry. Good looking and I’m sure it’s comfortable in the hand. Great acquisition. Enjoy! - Tennessee Smoky

I pretty much feel the same way you do about the Case XX haters, but here’s my 2 cents worth- so in my experience there’s 3 main slipjoint companies that get talked about; GEC, Case XX, and Rough Rider. So the people that buy GEC knives think that case knives are just junk because GEC makes a near perfect handmade knife, then the people that buy RR say that their knife is just as good even thought it has some flaws because it costs a fraction of a new case knife. Now for me, I rarely pay MSRP for a case knife as I buy most of mine at antique stores or flea markets or eBay (mostly eBay) so I usually feel like I get a really nice knife for what I’ve paid. So the point is- case kinda gets stuck in the middle… i personally don’t own a GEC Bevin not gonna pay the price they’re asking. I have 4 RR knives and they’re OK, but a RR isn’t something I’m gonna pull out in front of my buddies and feel proud of. So my attitude on case is, sure, some of them get past QC that shouldn’t have, but most of them are really good and it’s American made and for me it’s something I am proud to have and carry. Blade centering isn’t the end of the world for me, neither are gaps in the liners but I do get a little weary of there is a gap between the cover and liner because I don’t want to fear the bone coming loose. Anyway that’s my take on it. Also the action is a big one for me if a knife has lazy action I almost won’t carry it at all, because for me that’s the beauty of a slipjoint that crispy action!

GEC knives are nice knives, but triple the cost of a $60 CASEXX, so they should be perfect. Case knives are not perfect…neither am I, I’ve owned and used many and I buy them for my grandson. I do like RR knives…owned a few, my son uses them. If the blades aren’t perfectly centered or the covers have a gap, no big deal!I have some that are that way, but most are quality! Case makes beautiful covers, yea I want a micarta Sodbuster Jr., I believe in a good honest review. God Bless and Thank you for your comment.

My favorite Case tested xx has blade rub, on the spay and sheeps foot. and i don't care, still love her, carry it daily. I wish i had another like her !
