So jealous of Orlando! I found this while I was missing my favorite Kura in Okinawa. Lots of dinners alone while my husband was deployed. My entire meal with dessert was only ever 600 yen, and it took me 30 minutes to walk there. The bar style rows were perfect for me to enjoy an easy meal around people without feeling weird for being alone. Miss it!

@@SuperEnthused Taiyaki is super popular due to its flexibility and yumminess - you can fill it with many things! I like the traditional red bean paste, but chocolate is my favorite. Strawberry is very popular as well. They're fun to make at home, too. Especially if you melt your own chocolate or soften your own beans!

If you've ever watched Futurama, season one has an episode (I, Roomate, I believe) where Fry and Bender go to a Food-O-Mat, where food comes around the table like this.. of course Bender grabs like 3-4 martinis, but this reminded me so much of that episode!
