New KW almost rolls over in the ditch

Good ole winter working.
Get rather close to rolling the new KW in the ditch. Got handy with the Kobelco to pull it out.

You might want to get a cable for pulling that truck out (if it happens again). I've seen chains break under that type of application. Guess what happens when the chain breaks....It will often fly back at the cab of the trackhoe. Glad it worked out for you this time.

I’m really surprised that little Kobelco pulled the truck out that easily. My experience is that the 140s are very strong for their size, but I didn’t think they were quite that strong! I’ve had to use our Cat 349 to rescue our Cat 740 off road trucks many times. Once we had an incident similar to this happen, other than it was on wet clay. I had to save the truck from sliding into a pond!

Moving equipment can be stressful enough in the summer, let alone in the ice. Really makes you think how little traction you have the way that excavator yanked it.

Park everything , that will keep it from rusting and wrecking it and go to Florida till April .

Normally we do shut down in December but winter came early this year. 👍
