Neil I live in NZ, when Macquarie Bank in Australia announced that they will be going completely cashless by the end of May this year, I assumed that it will flow onto NZ soon as Macquarie is one of the 5 major banks in Australia including ANZ (Australia NZ bank) if the other banks follow suit including ANZ then it will definitely flow onto NZ. Not long after they quietly passed the digital I.D. Which goes hand in hand with the CBDC. Voluntary means accessibility, those who volunteer have access to more services, those who don’t will be severely restricted, this is how they coerce people to take it (sounds familiar). I bought something from Amazon it was supposedly delivered yesterday! I opened the box it was not my box. It belongs to someone else in our neighborhood. I contacted Amazon. Every thing I tried couldn't get a person. Then when it said I was talking to a person I was given such a run around. It took me an hour to get my money back. Supposedly in 3-5 days! I have never been treated so badly by Amazon. They wanted me to send a picture of the wrong package there was no way to send them a photo. How dumb is that?

i've had similar experience. BOTTOM LINE: Amazon does not care one bit about you getting your delivery. I spent hours.....& I finally realized it didn't work. So started over with new phone call to DEMAND MY DELIVERY which they did send to me without charge. i didnt eve n say a word about anybody else's package. It works to do it this way

They won’t need any “event” to make this mandatory. They will do what they’ve done slowly over time just with the use of digital devices and apps over time (eg Medicare, Centrelink, etc). Government agencies will eventually REQUIRE you to have the Digital ID just like they require you to have a digital profile for Services Australia etc. Then services and businesses that need to ID you will also REQUIRE you to have it, otherwise you “can’t set up” your new internet provider, your new phone, your enrolment in TAFE or uni, etc. They don’t need to legislate it to make it impossible to go about daily activities without having it because they’ve already done it with smart devices and apps now. I can’t even read my kids’ school newsletters and important communications or pay for school events without various apps I’m forced to have.

In Australia here, currently its voluntary to sign up to the digital ID, but eventually they plan to make it compulsory n fine you $5,000, cancel your driver's licence etc if you don't comply, lead up to CBDC. US has just voted against the CBDC, so what's the point.....

Australian here. The thing is IT DOESN'T EVEN WORK! Here in Victoria I recently had huge drama with Service Victoria trying to validate my ID all for the grand outcome of a forklift license. Their process requires using your phone camera to validate your passport and to then take a selfie, but it just doesn't even work! The dumb thing is they already have my face on my driver's licence and working with children card. It's so unnecessary. The forklift license is issued by the Ohs regulator but the id validation is done externally by Service Victoria. If they can't get it right for this then I fail to see how it will work at a federal level. It also assumes that everyone has a modern up to date phone.

If you just print money whenever you want, with no balance, money becomes worthless, because you'll never run out and everyone can have as much as they like. To give "Value" to currency, they tax people, to take money back out of the system, to preserve the status quo. Most people would be horrified to know that their taxes are just destroyed, once paid.
