Very clever blending the animated accessories into the layout and the skirting for the benchwork looks fantastic! A slick job all around Peachy, my compliments! What do I have to do with my layout I haven't done yet? Put people on it! I've just never gotten around to it, the town looks like it was hit by a neutron bomb! Buildings, vehicles, but no people! Maybe it's something psychological on my part? And thanks for the "cab ride", that was fun! That print of the Richmond-built Southern Railway Ps4 was a great find! Hey, here's the thing folks, if you're a toy train hobbyist and you see an antiques place, flea market, or thrift shop stop in and take a look, you never know what you'll find in there. I've scored, you may too. Good show Peachy!

Excellent video, as always. That is a nice job in blending in the accessories. It is amazing how you can make minor fixes and change the whole aspect with just those shaper paper sheets. Say that three times fast.😉 The run session was nice, too. Keep these fine videos coming.

Not sure if I've ever commented, but I've been watching your videos for a while and really enjoy them! We need more people with your type of spirit in this hobby! I see a brotherhood/sisterhood between you all in the O-Gauge community and I think that is so cool! If only that brotherhood/sisterhood were present everywhere in the hobby, but unfortunately I see a lot of hate and a lot of egos. Keep doing what you're doing! Keep inspiring us all!

Great job on making the animated areas blend into the layout. They look great. Over the years I have added loads to hoppers, but I save weight and materials by cutting pieces from cardboard boxes to make false floors in the cars, then gluing the load, usually coal, on the cardboard. All I have to do to "empty" the car, is lift out the cardboard.
@peachystrains87727 ай бұрын
That's a really good idea! Thank you!
@user-ft9mr5yx7e4 ай бұрын
Could you add a magnet to the cardboard and then glue the coal or woodchip load on top? Then you can use a larger magnet to remove the load without having to pick up the hopper car. Overall the changes do add to a better immersion of the scene. Awesome train room. Next perhaps you might try your hand at weathering the hopper.

Thank you so much! I'm happy I waited too, if I would have done it when I first go the material I would have had to redo it for this layout lol
@dathanpoole8717 ай бұрын
@peachystrains8772 I find that a lot in this hobby, you have an idea and you sit on it for a little bit and then something else comes up in the design that changes that idea. And it's refreshing to know that you didn't waste time money and material. Short-term that is, I mean I know after some time, changes get made to a layout. That's partially one reason why I haven't even started landscaping yet, 8 months into ideas and possibilities. One day though.

Just having all the Lionel accessories blending in with the scenery really makes it look like they’re apart of the layout without knowing that the accessories are separate from the layout itself. We bought a print of his portraying a New York Central Hudson thundering down the Hudson River Line, all smoke, steam and fury! And I concur, a great guy! He signed it for us on the spot. Also, just like mine his wife is "The Banker!" We both got a laugh out of that one!
