Confused about the new LCC27 gas fittings?
We're breaking it down in simple terms so you can decipher which of your appliances hoses will work with the new LCC27 valve, which hoses won't work with the old POL valve and what you will need to upgrade.

Good to know my pizza oven uses LCC27. I thought I had to have an older style bottle for my Weber Family Q

So can the new bottle be carried inside a veichle. Compared to the POL system

The rules haven't changed there, I'd suggest checking with the rules in your area, but the general consensus is to transport gas on the outside of your vehicle wherever possible. That being said, the new valve does offer heightened safety measures to reduce the risk of gas leakage. ~ Ben

You forgot the most important point. One only needs to 1/4 turn the valve.

It's specifically made that way as a safety feature, if there is a fire it will melt and eject from the cylinder shutting off the gas. It's a durable nylon type material with a nice meaty thread and it doesn't need to be overtightened to get a good seal, it's by no means a weak point. ~ Ben

Thanks for that explanation. Thanks also to Snowy's website I was made aware that new Baby Weber Qs should not be directly attached to RVs or boats LPG plumbing (ie bayonet mount) unless an additional flame out device ($200 extra) is fitted. The store I bought our Weber from (not Snowys) made no mention of it. I will be connecting the Weber direct to the bottle thus cutting out the caravans plumbing issue. A media education campaign on the new laws & fittings may be needed.
