If kahl changed his ability to movement phase or start of the shooting phase to hand out tokens awesome. Plus reroll 1's all the time. Too many hoops to jump through consistently to push this over the top of oathband

I believe that the lack of this detachment's interaction with EotA, while it may be a missed opportunity, definitely goes to show that Oathband has made players rely to heavily on Judgement as a static buff to the army instead of a tool provided to increase combat potential.

Excited to try the new detachment! Watch out though, the enhancement that reduces AP by 1 only works against ranged attack within 12'', not in melee (so no incentive to multi-tag that unit thinking it is invincible). Does boost the 4++ stratagem though, as you'll be mini-Custodes in melee!

I feel like this detachment completely abandons the faction rules. There is rarely any interaction whatsoever only the incentive to play more kahls. Also the detachments seems to be less useful for msu which also means less judgement tokens. I do love the fluff of the detachment though. Finally other units than sagis and HKLs get some love.

The issue is the faction rule is fundamentally flawed as I have learned from others, it needs to be reworked otherwise not much will feel better than oathband, but even then using the new detachment judgement helps but instead necessary

This is just a bad detachment and it is pretty amazing to see it presented as somehow competitive here. A conditional reroll ones is in no way, shape or form comparable to +1 to hit, +1 to wound and CP gen, especially given how bad LoV stats are. And a 2CP +1 dmg but only in combat and only against monsters or vehicles is actually terrible, not “amazing”.

If you have the CP, and you do the rapid ingress deep strike with the -1 AP enhancement, could you use the Go To Ground Core Stratagem to get cover as well?

I cannot understand why so many restrictions when you see like the Necron detachment rules so OP or fun and useful as the Orks one... Not so positive on this detachment to tell the trugh. Since our codex is nowhere near, having a useful additional one would have been great. But no, we get the short end of the stick. Also no interaction with the Army rule. Really bad design on GW's part.
