I connected my cateye lights and when I connected my led bar I got the 2 wires from the light and connected it to the day time lights they turned on but after a while the top light bulb started smoking and getting really hot what could it be or is that normal and also can I connected the bottom lights bar to the same spot as the top?

I sure I did the same thing thing and no issues at all but I need to double check. Did you connect them correctly? If so might be an issue with the light itself.
