Meta-discussions about stats aside, I'm happy to see the DLC team continue to address corner cutting by the original WH3 team. Zhao and Miao should have had unique items on day one.

@@Grivehn Nah, a bit too harsh to say top to bottom, friend! The "grunts" that do coding, art, sounds, etc. can't protest when execs above them cut budget and time. The fault almost always lie with execs at the top who think getting 1% more profit by cutting corners is more valuable than long-term happy customers.

The other devs produced something even worse than the Vortex, because they were too prideful to take the end of Wh2 as a base.. they took the start of Wh2 as a base instead. They made a few good improvements such as item fusing... animators sure made a good job with units, campaign map overhaul was nice.. yes, there are things to praise. Not the work of a whole lot of people though, I wager.

To be fair, they did have shared-unique items in the form of the caravan rewards. And some of those are more powerful than most standard unique legendary items, and better as well because both lords could get them. Like, don't get me wrong, it absolutely was corner-cutting and kinda sucked that they just didn't have quest items, but credit where credit is due too.

Nice to see them getting items that make an inmpact. The normal stuff is good but they always felt somewhat underequipt. Now defeating them will be even more fun, cannot wait to get Taurox over there with the sea routes. Long comment for cloud.

Personally I'd rather see higher level unlocks for legendary items and see them as actually impactful. The armors are pretty underwhelming even if they are available at level 3. I mean, "legendary item" is something that should feel more useful than this.

Yeah what if they had quests around lvl 15-20 that gave a pretty decent blue set and then around 30-40 somewhere you could get quests to get the purple set … idk just an idea

100% agree. Give me a level 15/20+ unlock with a bloody good piece of equipment that has meaning. So many of the legendary items are underwhelming and when locked behind quest battles makes it more of a pain to get than a reward for hard work.

​​@@SuiSideexshe literally attacks with electricity+water combo, those attacks should bypass any armor no matter what since iron absorbs electricity wich means they get fryed, she sould have 100% armorpiercing damage but well CA and their balance.

While Items are not so great....mission will give other thing other than item too so it can help dragon sibling ramp up in early game by finish mission and get money

hm, a bit underwhelming for unique items, maybe if they have some ward or physical resistance too would be better, but hey, it is good they added something. Don't understand why they don't have some set bonuses.

Will prob dump the armour anyway so set bonuses would be a waste. I feel like the armour is for early game.supporting army with magic and enchanted is for late game one man army style.

It’s definitely not bad armor for unlocking at Level 3, but for such strong lords why in the world would they add an armor that doesn’t give ward save for a legendary lord that’s intended to be used in melee. Nobody’s going to use that over trickster’s helm or armor of destiny, at least in single player (which is 90%+ of all TW players)

@@heitorpedrodegodoi5646 who said it was min maxing? Cathay’s legendary lords are supposed to be extremely powerful in the lore, so it only makes sense that they’d be resistant to damage if other, weaker legendary lords are.

While I'm loving the new items I'm a bit confused of what the tradeoffs for going into Dragon form is. Miao Yings Disdain of the Dragons only works when she is in human form, her new item also only works in human form. So you trade away -16 attack aura, higher spell versatility, an aoe buff and a higher harmony multiplier for less melee attack/defence, a self buff, 30 more armour, 34 more speed and armour piercing weapon strength. Am I underestimating the power of the dragon form or is it rather lacking?

I generally field them on foot. Dragon form is just for the extra mass to push out and get away if you actually come across something that is damaging you ( like AP Monstrous infantry or a Duellist Lord)

Miao’s seem better, just because the enchanted item ability is a passive that lasts the entire battle. And it’s actually quite a good passive. I wonder if either is better than that mortis engine aoe item. Probably Miao’s especially since she gets most of the anti infantry from talons.

Well, it lasts the entire battle if you don't turn into dragon form. It seems like its only enabled when shes a ground unit.

Hmm, it seems like Zhao Ming’s new vambraces are busted. He heals for way more that 32% Just testing on custom battle at least.

I'm disappointed tbh. Both the armour are mediocre especially since it's a purple item. And their flavour text is misleading too. I'd expect something along the line of reduce cooldown or less winds of magic cost or even something like reduce miscast chance when I read that description but it's something meh like wound recovery time and enemy hero success chance. The vambraces unique ability makes them slightly better than the armour but thats it. I'll stick with blue items for armour but its nice that the dragon siblings have their own unique albeit middling items I guess 🤷

No quest battles. When it says "a mission will be issued" they give you a regular campaign objective (raze X settlement, raid region Y, that kinda stuff).

@@Jordan-ob7nz Not necessary. In WH3 there are no missions and quests battle missions with teleport are issued when your Lord achieved required level.

​@@TheMrYadrian No, it is not a maybe. CA uses specific phrasing to distinguish between character items awarded through missions and quest battles. If the initial text in the Quests tab says "A mission" instead of a "A quest battle" then there is no quest battle for that item.

Yeah its 9nly a level 3 quest item though so I guess its ok. They are quite tanks even with nothing so I guess its ok if you just want then10 winds, until you get a helm of discord or glittering scales or a ward save armor. The enchanted items are good though.
