I like the reading promo, but I feel the botanical entrance is a bit strange since it will be a different height to the new botanical gardens... the gardens is on baseplates while the entrance is on regular plates... I will likely skip that one!

@@DCeasedbrickbuilds I think that's the thing, the average LEGO consumers buy only a few sets each year so the prices wouldn't have much impact on them. The people that impacted the most are the collectors, and reseller/investors where they buy every copy, or in large quantities.

I recently saw the friends set in store and I'd consider buying it, Never liked friends as I was against the doll figures but the builds upon the reboot have gotten a lot better or the colour palette is more neutral. Maybe I'm just appreciating the theme more but I might have start getting some sets from the theme.

LEGO’s promo sets are always a joke! The return value is awful! I get better incentive value purchasing from Target with Target Red Card(5% back)! At the LEGO store you have to buy a lot just to get a min 5 bucks back. I know not everyone can purchase at a Target or has the Target Red Card, but my point is LEGO store incentives are not all that great.

that's not how ideas works. They get an idea and then completely design a set off that idea from scratch. you're thinking it works like the bricklink designer program. it does not.

The Garden sure is nice, but no interest to me or x men. I do enjoy reading so I will get the pointsettia and the Christmas decorations also the yellow land Rover for the A frame cabbin. I doubt it will happen, but a Jordan Petra architecture I would buy instantly.

I'll have to see the X-Mansion modified by someone talented on Rebrickable before I buy it. It's desperately lacking height and grandeur in its current state. The botanical gardens looks great, but I miss some of the building details that were present on the original design. I could see myself getting both eventually, but I'm not blown away. Some of the Friends Botanical set rebuilds are really quite good and worth considering as an alternative

if Blacktron DOES return next year, then it's a high chance it'll just be a re-imagined Blacktron 1 set. although, i heard it'll be intertwined with the few LEGO City Space sets, but, I'm taking that with a grain of salt. I also heard there will be multiple sets instead of one, and I'm ALSO taking THAT with a grain of salt however, i do hope it'll be a successor instead of a remake, a Blacktron 3 if you will, but at the same time, sprinkling some Blacktron 2 minifigures using the space CMF pieces but unmutated.

The book of end/reading, Reading, READING promo should have been a widely released set hopefully I have enough Insider points to buy it. The X-Mansion looks great just don't like the lack of arm and leg printing and the overall Prof X and Ice Man figs (if he was translucent would have been way cooler)

$330 for the Botanical Gardens is ridiculous. For one, it is not licensed. Two, AFOLS can make various botanical gardens from multiple similar Friends sets and it would still cost less. Lego is trying to make adult money from AFOLS, preying on their need for play, especially as they know the Friends botanical gardens set sold well. Lego underestimated the market, as the more expensive $330 set will sell but not as much as hoped.

Not really anything that interests me in this round of leaks. That January 1st art set has me intrigued based solely on the price point, but I'll have to see what it is first. I definitely preferred the original project of botanical garden. Greenhouse lines were clearly cleaner and there was a better perception of the trees and plants inside. The final project instead looks more confused and messy.
