Jordan a big big lesson I am getting from you is that if you need to make progress you need to keep doing things even though you may not feel that execution is perfect. You can always improve something once you do it once, but if you wait inactive until “circumstances are right” you actually lose time instead of doing things right. I think this why people like to watch you, even though for almost two months the material of your channel was completely different; people (certainly myself) love to watch you do things. Especially that you are such a nice and positive thinking person.

impressive work so far! My hat off to you. Just a tip though. Given you have your lego bins and boxes in front of the windows, you might want to consider some UV reflective film for your windows as it will over time start discoloring your bricks and boxes. Unless you're going to block your windows up there permanently? (I mean a few months won't hurt the bricks too much and can discolor your boxes some, but you'd be surprised how quickly that goes)

Jordan, I know you are a couple days ahead but if you still have shelving units to move, stack them facing each other to make a cavity in the middle you can fill with some lego and get double value out of the space. Kind of like packing a cup/box of the 1x6x5 panels where you face them towards each other and fill the middle with small stuff. Keep up the good work!

it baffles me that he blocks the windows! will those legos in there fade because of the sun? i think building a custom wall unit that houses all the drawers like they have at the lego store to the left of the windows. computer and desk space in front of the windows. sets on the wall to the right. and then in the middle get a massive table with a couple chairs for building on. the lego storage wall could have shelves in between for some of the sets too

Those 5 billy's are like $70 usd a piece (total of $350). Seems like you could have your handy man build you a desk for not much more than that which would get you exactly what you want out of a desk (not having shelves underneath), and not have to buy as many billys for the other rooms.

I'd use those shelving units downstairs and build new ones that don't sacrifice 1/3 of the storage capacity. That said, if you do leave them you may want to figure out where you're most likely to sit in front of them and leave the bottom shelves empty so you can stretch your legs out and get comfy. A little patch of carpet with double sided tape on the bottom shelf and you're gtg. 🙂

@craftyhobbit76236 ай бұрын
It's only when you start moving stuff that you realise you have more than you thought you did. It'll probably be a good idea to get the small bookcases out first as then they won't be in the way of the large sheets. I've had folks rough handle bookcases with flimsy backs and it's no fun trying to hammer them back into place (they weren't Ikea ones) and the nails aren't great because they make holes in the boards when they come off. I have used small screws on some narrow bookcases and they hold better, but you need a lot of them. There has to be a balance between stability and weight with these tall wide bookcases for moving them so you have to be careful with them.
