Note regarding new firmware for the Leica M11: the release notes of the newest firmware talk about a fix for “non-coded” lenses. And of course, the new Leica Summilux-M 1.4/35 has 6-bit optical coding. But my Leica M11 only recognized the new Summilux after I updated the M11 firmware to the newest version so don’t miss that firmware upgrade!
And a quick correction: @18:18 my comment was too quick here, the difference you see in the blurry spot is more likely coming from the different optical construction of the two lenses, as "Pedro Alves" correctly pointed out. Thanks Pedro.
