I bought the tablet and discovered that with certain wallpapers the image flickers on the dark areas of the Image. This also happens in certain menus with dark mode enabled. It's very strange, it seems like a software problem, because if I take a screenshot of the screen, in gallery, the picture is stable. I mention that the adaptive brightness mode is disabled. I had the tablet replaced and received another one exactly the same. Have you noticed this on your tablet?

Really nice to use but slow on updates. Google Play system update was dated 1st Aug last week but now just moved onto 1st September. As for the system itself, it's lenovo version 15.0.061 which I think its been on since the initial update on purchase in mid August. Also lenovo's own versioning system means nothing in itself except serving only to obfuscate which android 13 update this relates to. I'm therfore assuming that the android sustem update is now lacking nearly 3 months of security updates. That's not good enough.

Google Play system updates are sent by Google, not Lenovo. Lenovo is contractually obligated to send out quarterly system security updates. However, due to the nature of modern Android, most system components that need major security fixes are handled by Google.

Since posting Google Play system updates are now at 1st October so I no longer have any complaints on this score and as you say are sent by google not Lenovo. But as to Android system updates I do know that I haven't received one yet since August but if they are contactually obliged to provide an update every 3 months I will hopefully get one this month. I've also that the kernel version is 4.19.191+ and yet I understood this to be an Android 12 Kernel, whereas the tablet is running Android 13 so I would have expected a 5 series Kernel. @@adaml.5355

I dont know if i should buy the tab s9 FE+ or this tablet(Lenovo tab p12) because the samsung is much more expansive. My main concerns about the lenovo are the refresh rate (60 vs 90 on the samsung) and optimised notetaking(samsung has aamsung notes but i dont know about any optimized notetaking apps for lenovo). Pls help me decide.

I've received my Lenovo P12 tablet and would like to know if I should turn Charging Protection on? From the manual: "Charging protection prevents charging for extended periods, which exposes the battery to high temperatures and high voltage that may cause it to age faster. When the mode is enabled, power will eventually be maintained at about 50% to extend battery life." Keeping the battery around 50% max would drastically reduce usage time between charges. Is Charging Protection worth the reduced usage time? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

Regarding video output, I checked with Lenovo customer support today and learned that this model does NOT have the capability of outputting video to an external monitor via the USB-C port. The only mode that this can be accomplished with is the P12 PRO.

Just got this tablet. The battery is huggeeee and easily should last a day and a half. When getting it i recommend geting the highest microSD card you can get to make sure you dont run out of space

It doesn't have anything exactly like Dex mode, but it has a floating window mode, which is similar to Windows and can help with productivity. Additionally, there are desktop mode launchers that seem promising. I bought it and am waiting for it to arrive. The price difference is very big.

You can buy the lenovo for less then 300$ starting around 260$ right now today. The samsung is better but that costs 500-600$ you could get almost 3 of these lenovo tablets for that price. It's not something you can compare since they so different on price. And no matter which samsung u get you can't upgrade the storage With the lenovo you can. If 128gb not enough buy and SD card and add more storage .. can't do that with samsung Again may not matter, but the samsung does cost a crap ton more money. Not a fair comparison

Before buying a lenovo tablet, think whether you will need upgrades to the next android version. Their policy is probably the worst on the market, in less than 2 years the OS of your device will be obsolete! I bought a Tab p11 pro 1st gen in 2022 and I received only 1 upgrade to android 11

Lenovo are absolutely hopeless with updates..... haven't even got android 13 on my 11pro gen2 yet...... security updates are completely random. Won't be buying another that's for sure. Edit: Just got that now..... better late than never I suppose

That's not a Chinese version of the same device from lenovo. That's the Xiaomi Pad 6/6 Pro, which isn't globally sold currently, and is very difficult to find in most countries, especially for a lower price than lenovo devices. @@SJHD

This is a very bad tablet bro....very poorly made and cut too much corner ... do you know there is a p12 pro edition and it is only 100 euro more then this ? For instance, Samsung has been getting better at longer software and security updates. I have Samsung and Lenovo devices, and I watch technology videos all the time. It's not about one company only allowed to make good tablets. It's about Lenovo getting ideas from Apple and Samsung.
