I'm not sure whether I should go for the Samsung UE43DU8070 or the LG 43UT80006LA. Both have things that put me off. Edge-lit with more colours (1.07 B), or direct lit with less colours (16.7 M)? What would you suggest?

color difference is not a problem, lg has more useful remote, samsung is faster overall. also check out qled vs qned comparisons.

they have same color accuracy, but lg is slightly brighter. i think lg offers more features, while samsung has more "minimalist" approach in terms of remote.

go with lg, it has better remote, more features and brighter screen also check out cu8000 or du8000 they are more similar to ut8 in terms of picture performance

Hi would you prefer this tv over the Samsung q60d? Im more interested in watching cable satelite TV thus the performance in SD and HD is on my top list. I want 55inch tv for cable satellite daily watching with good quality. Or maybe any other tv you could recommend? Max £500-550

They perform very similiar in terms of motion and hdr brightness, samsung has slightly better colors, lg has better overall experience for dvb tv watching, better remote and sound.

it 10 to 12ms depends if you use 1080p60 or 4k60

well they have similar color contrast performance, sony has more google apps, lg has better bass, scroll wheel pointer built in remote control if you care about that.

its mva screen, so it has the best black levels and average viewing angle, there are also ips versions with better viewing angle, but they have mediocre black levels uniformity at night... go with cheapest lg oled if you want the best black and angle

@@TechWatcher i bought mine just 2 days ago same model as yours. I have just noticed 20deg to 60 is washed out and purple ish color. I dont know if its factory fault but in the store looks fine. Thats why i want to know if yours the same. In front face looks amazing but side view looks awful

they are different tiers, nano or qned is comparable with qled wide color gamut, but even ut8 has impressive brightness in its class and magic remote is more useful...

@@Wescone well its to much information for casual tv users, there are more information on tv sites display specs or tv database, but even they are not always 100% accurate, reviewers dont review all tv sizes and sometimes there are different tvs for us or eu markets.

there are many from tcl and hisense in this price class, i think lg still has edge with their screen brightness, web os apps and magic remote control. if you dont care about remote, check out samsung du8, hisense a7 or tcl c655
