The Aquablast has another advantage when it comes to originally rough surfaces. When a rough surface is not needed for function, a smoother surface prevents hair cracks from starting on the surface and getting bigger.

That isnt always technically true. A peened surface distributes stresses (usually compressive or "amorphous" layer mainly from machining. This reduces surface fatigue and prevents crack and/or crack propergation. Turbine wheels etc are always peened to ensure surface integrity. Obviously a cast surface or a pitted surface on ferrous metal would benefit from a surface conditioned by glass media.

I've never met anyone who thinks the exact same as me. You do everything I would do, even changing the odd one out sump bolt. You appreciate people not everyone notices, like Sabine and Chris Harris. You speak German and love Germany. You're a software(?) engineer. I'm from Manchester and been to Germany about 10 times now, on me bike got a dry lap BTG on the Nurburgring 61 seconds off the world's fastest lap by Andy Carlyle - but I did it on road tyres and it was back in 1998. Beat the track pacemaker who'd done 10,000 laps - he wasn't happy! We went to Lake Konstanz via Friedrichshafen just before the lockdown. I recognise some of the areas in your videos. I've now binge-watched all your videos to date, since the last week of December. Absolute class. I'm a VW old school. MK2 Golf and Scirocco had 24 years now. Recently acquired a T4 that is now completely original, mostly Mahle replacement parts, etc. beauty. But after watching your channel I now want a BMW V12 or V10 to restore to original and add to the collection.

It's so cool that BendPak supports so many KZbin channels, and their equipment is So nice. When I get a garage of my own again, Im going to splurge on a BendPack 2-post lift or the smaller MaxJack if I don't have a tall enough ceiling. That AquaBlast cabinet will sure beat the hell out of a regular parts washer basin.

When using the tire machine: -Remove valve stem and all air before popping the bead. -First pop the front face of the wheel on one or two spots and then flip and pop as many times needed to move the bead away from rim all around so you can clamp easier on the table. Brush lube in the beads as you're popping, especially if you wanna reuse the tire and want to avoid shredding the beads. -Remove all balancing weights of the wheel now -When clamping on the turntable rest the wheel on one of the jaws and as the jaws close try not to pinch the tire. You can release the pedal slowly and give yourself time to clamp it right. -As soon as you press the pedal to bring the mounting/demounting head down you must release with the little button as it might be set on a smaller rim and might land on your wheel and scratch it. -When spinning table to remove tire, make sure the bead on the opposite side is pushed down into the mounting hump and away from the bead rest. -Make sure you fit direction and face off new tire correctly. If there is a yellow dot on it put it as close to the valve as possible. -Pump and pop the bead in with the valve stem out. *The mounting/demounting has a plastic protector for the wheel that will brake off if you don't remove the knock on balancing weights off the wheel. *The Jaws on the turntable come with plastic protectors in case you come across an upside down wheel (highly unlikely, they are usually cheap Chinese ones) Practice practice practice Good luck. Merry Christmas Happy Holidays

The Aquablaster peens surfaces as well as cleaning them, so as well as making them much slicker and less prone to dirt or varnish build up also stress-relieves them - probably well worth using on critical components like con-rods even if they don't need cleaning.

Sreten it's been so amazing watching your channel grow over the last 12 months into something, I think it's fair to say, you had only ever dreamed of having. So, given what happened with the E30, when are you getting a proper body shop installed, a bit like Richard Hammonds new digs? Then before we know it you'll have your own staff and a network syndicated show............nah, don't do that. Setiously though I truly am so happy for you and to see how happy it makes you is well worth a Patreon subscription in my book. I wish you a Merry Christmas (try not to beat yourself up too much over the E30, it can be fixed) and a happy and prosperous new year. Now off you go and enjoy your holiday. 🍻 Oh just one last thing.
