Thanks for the video, David. I have been a little disappointed in the masking tools in LR. I find I have to you the add and subtract tools a lot, particularly in bird photos. Ps is a little better and you can always to go select and mask but that is tedious.

There’s a reason I don’t mask much in my photography and that’s because it’s tedious

Good job explaining the new Lightroom features. I switched to Luminar (now using Neo) and am very pleased with it. It’s easy and uncomplicated, which is great for the level/amount of editing I like to do. Good job!

Hey Dave. Lr is my go to. It is more user friendly. Ps may be the gold standard in editing. However distance of view has a huge effect on how detailed you actually NEED to be. Ps takes longer to use to get that fine detail. I am not a fan of the layer system layout in Ps. It seems to make thing complicated, especially for beginners. I for one don't like Ps clone tool.. for that I use gimp. You just click the pixel you want to copy and click on the object you want to mask over. Like taking out a power line cutting across the sky in your image. So the Sky and object in Lr can be used much more efficiently and if needed, like you mentioned you can zoom in and get crazy with getting in as close as possible for your mask. Great stuff as always!
