And it was at that moment, the 2 “teens” surrendered their will to live. They were adults. Don’t give a puck if they were 17. Have 17 year olds ever murdered someone? Pray he has a new trial. This one wasn’t fair. The judge actually did not allow the fact that his home has been burglarized multiple times in the past, into the trial.

You would have to be a victim of a home invasion to really understand the horrible feelings that never go away, this man deserves to be released from prison, I'm sure that the families of the perpetrators having had the same experience would understand the horror of this experience if it happened to them once and this happened to this poor man several times as least more than once by the same family. The Police department in their city is a joke and I would be seriously worry about my well being in their city as well as justice for anyone living there. Quite honestly you should move immediately.

@@deborahcooper9085 those “children” were serial ROBBERS. Terrorizing this man who lived alone, stealing his medication and family heirlooms. He was angry and he was paranoid. I guess me saying “if someone breaks into my house and I’m here alone with my son, I’m going to shoot and kill them” means premeditation... well then damn I guess it would be “premeditated murder”... cause I sure as hell am not taking a chance with someone breaking into my home and not killing them making SURE the threat is gone

@@deborahcooper9085 okay... if I’m by myself and someone knocks on the door I don’t answer it. I don’t want people to know I’m home. I keep my lights off so people don’t bother me because I don’t like talking to people. Is me making it seem like I’m not home setting a trap for someone to rob me? Just because it appears someone isn’t home doesn’t mean you can come in.. what the hell!? My husband carries his gun on his hip at all times except for to bed when it’s in the night stand. Is that premeditating to hurt someone?? Yes if someone enters our home we do plan on killing them... I don’t see the problem with that.

He didn't. Do you know what happens psychologically when you've been robbed once? Now imagine that's your house, the one place we're you're supposed to feel safe. THEY DID IT TO HIM 11 TIMES. THE ONE PLACE YOURE SUPPOSED TO BE SAFE FROM THE WORLD. He's had enough, that's way more than catfish would've done. Criminalizing this man because he is human and flawed is ridiculous. If it were different people, different teens,, I would've understood your argument. But it's the same dumb asses who made the womb and tear it open once it heals over and over again!

I would've done the same thing. Yes he planned what he would do to someone if they had broken into his home AGAIN. I'm a vet and have lived in the middle east and you develop as sense of "defense" merely for self preservation. When you have been violated you naturally think of the what should I do to protect myself and a good soldier as well as a repeated victim is going to develop a plan as well. The poor man had probably been sitting down there for days in wait, waiting to finally put an end to the unnerving waiting for the next time they come and with his own weapons. There's no doubt about it, the loss of two young lives is a tragedy but there again so is the life of a man who worked his whole life and retired only to be tortured in his own hometown. The audio is pure relief, not from waiting to kill but for waiting to no longer having to have to kill. He should be free. He sounds cold but just because he's used to handling himself professionally and matter of dactyl and in the middle east it is quite a chore to do so, doesn't make him a cold blooded killer. It makes him a survivor trying to report the facts and if you don't think most people would spit on their victim after defeating them at that very moment with adrenalin flowing as well as the enormous waves of emotion the body goes through in such a circumstance think again. You'd be surprised at how great it feels to survive an attack.
@JET7C0
@JET7C0 4 жыл бұрын
Your comment is 4 years old, I know, but whatever - first off, he said in his police interview about his time overseas, literally, "In 20 years I had zero problems whatsoever," describing not even feeling threatened. So there goes your idea about him developing some spider-sense of self-preservation. Second, he had hours of additional recordings which were reviewed besides the ~30 min one that's been uploaded, and at one point he mutters "in your left eye" to himself, which other than honestly being creepy as fuck to say to yourself, is precisely where he shot the female victim, after he'd already shot her _four times,_ mostly in her chest according to him, when she was clearly incapacitated. Then, after he dragged her body on a tarp he just happened to have handy for the occasion, he noticed she was somehow still clinging to life, but obviously not remotely able to attack him, at which point he admitted giving her a "good, clean finishing shot under her chin and into her cranium." When she wasn't a threat at all. There's a reason that's illegal, and far separate from defending your life and/or home at that point, according to laws in this country. It's also why we have the justice system we do, so that citizens aren't allowed to decide people deserve death as a punishment for crimes not remotely worthy of that, because it's clear based on the defense of this guy by some, how quickly we could descend into unjust, extrajudicial killings.

How many ways can the nation trust a guy to build embassies, then find guilt? I need to know the criteria of this. Is this a farce or a product expected from his possible knowledge about who blew those buildings up? It's about time all were talking, but not talking shitaki.

Yeah and he just left their dead bodies there for like an entire day, and he hid the first intruder's body so the next one would come further in where he could shoot him or her, and he literally told the police that he executed the girl. I'm totally on board with the Castle Doctrine, and I can't imagine how pissed off I would be if that happened to me, but I would definitely be smarter about it. The fact that he planned the whole thing, but couldn't even come up with a legally acceptable reason for shooting these intruders, is pretty sad to me. All he had to do was headshot, then call 911 because there was half an hour or something between when the first intruder came down the stairs and the second one did.

@@tr909love exactly right!! If someone enters my home I’m shooting to kill first then calling the cops! I have an infant son... if I hear someone breaking a window and entering my home... I may not be able to get to my child and even if I could there are only like five rooms to hide. The intruder would find us in moments. I wouldn’t have time to wait 10+ minutes for police to arrive. And as a woman, if I shoot a grown man in the leg or something to wound him he could keep coming at me. He could pull a concealed gun. No no if someone comes in their dead.. sorry not sorry.

@Lac Parle ok but what if they have a gun in their hand how is shooting them in the foot or leg going to stop them from shooting you? Mostly people aren’t a good enough shot to shoot the gun from their hand... I am a woman and if I’m home alone with my son and someone breaks in I’m not taking no damn chances warning them I’m going to hide us both and when they come in my area, I’m gonna shoot. As many times as needed until the threat is gone. I’ll be on the phone with 911 but still I’m not going to risk them being able to shoot me or if I miss them lunge or something! This law is Bull shit. If you enter someone else’s fucking house then prepare to die I mean... why is that so hard

Byron was defending himself along with his domicile. The man was clearly pushed too far by these criminals and they chose to repeatedly return to vandalize and steal again. It is clear that Byron was very angry, stressed and fearful for his life due to being victimized. The fact that he's not even eligible for parole is really disturbing. There have been serial rapists, killers, and even child predators that have been given way lighter sentences. How is this man such a danger to society that we have to use our tax money to keep him imprisoned for life just because he shot some people that broke into his house? Even if he deserved some jail time for the way he did it, the no parole thing is definitely overboard in my opinion.
