Hi Jilian, yes you need a round hoop which you can buy on Etsy or in a lot of craft shops (most are made of metal but that's not essential). There are lots of blogs and videos on the internet - searching modern round weaving should give you some pointers. Also have a look at @spruceandlinen on youtube. Weaving in the round is a bit more fiddly than on a straight frame if it's your first go but totally doable. Enjoy!
